I don't think anyone becomes Christian to escape the fundies. But good luck with that.

It's the nature if fundamentalism. If you don't interpret every verse the way that they KNOW it's supposed to be interpreted, then you're obviously being misled by Satan and need to attend their revival meetings to learn exactly how God wants you to live and how you're supposed to make sure everyone around you knows how God wants them to live and make sure the government is in lock-step agreement with the absolute TRUTH of the bible.

I'll assume you mean fundamentalists...

Nope...I will always be a Christian...and it wont be to escape the fundies.

If anything I will stay Christian to help correct and if possible stop the fundamentalist freaks!!!

Christians are aware that they will be ridiculed or worse for their faith in Jesus.
Doesn't make my faith in Jesus waver. Only makes me stronger.
