Mythology is mythology, but it's nicer when it makes good reading... I much prefer the Mahabharata to all that begatting in the Old Testament. Genesis nearly killed me.

I'm trying to share the Gospel to a non-Christian friend. I told him that the proof of God was in the Bible. We are reading right now in Genesis and theres a problem. In Genesis 1:11-12 God makes plants, herbs, fruit trees, and grass. Thats on the third day. But its then in verse 16 that God makes the sun, which is on the fourth day. So my friend who is an evolutionist has pointed out that plants can't survive without the sun. It has been proven through expiriments that without light plants don't survive because they can't make their energy using photosynthesis.

Please please help, how do I explain this? I'm afraid it just might not be the word of God, and I want to help the soul of my friend get saved by coming to Christ Jesus! Praise his name! but can't do it with this logic inconsistency. Please please help me I want to be true and trust his word Praise Jesus!

1. Do NOT give opinions or advice unless you are asked.

2. Do NOT tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.

3. When in another's lair, show him respect or else do NOT go there.

4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.

No one going to end the wars in Middle East, until they accept Ahimsa, which were taught BUT never emphasise in Abrahamic faiths ( Judaism, Christianity and Islam).

Ahimsa is a religious concept which advocates non-violence and a respect for all life. Ahimsa (अहिंसा ahiṁsā) is Sanskrit for avoidance of himsa, or injury. It is interpreted most often as meaning peace and reverence toward all sentient beings.

Ahimsa is an important doctrine of Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. Its first mention in Indian philosophy is found in the Hindu scriptures called the Upanishads, the oldest dating about 800 BCE.

Does anyone know the nature of the writings that the Vatican will not release to the public? Is it just rumor that some of it is Jesus telling people they don't need to go into an actual church building?

How do you think that will help someone see "the light"? Is it appropriate for you to judge is who is beyond redemption? Do you feel no remorse that it might turn them away from "the light" instead?

Not all Christians are like this, I know, but you know who you are.

... to gather all the animals on the ark?

There are between 30 and 50 million species. Take two of each, that's 60-100 million animals. Let's say he was working 24/7, moving 100 animals per minute (which is pretty damn fast, but we'll give him a little lee-way since the big guy was backing him). By my calculations it would have taken him between 416.7 and 694.4 days to complete his task. How did he keep the ones on the boat alive during that amount of time? How did he cope with the huge amount of fecies produced? Where did he keep the food for all these animals? Do I really need to go on? These are fairy tales people. They hold as much fact as Zeus chunking lightning bolts down from Olympus.

I loved this question because of the silly responses I got. I almost felt sorry for some of them for actually believing these things.

in Numbers 15 it talks about a man who was gatthering sticks on the Sabbath, and some children found him and was brought before Mose'a and Aaron, and he was stoned to death, why was this? Today we have football games on the Sabbath and people work on this day, so we don't follow the law.

Non-christians only please-No one line answers I want real answers that are thought out and articulate, because I believe it is better to judge a belief system not on the outrageous morons who corrupt it, but by someone who truly lives out what they believe. I realize that there are people out there who claim to be christians, but they pervert it--should they really be able to discount someone who doesn't allow those perversions into their lifes? Do you really think that is fair to judge christians by the hypocrites? If you do--How can you say that when someone looks at the Muslim faith and discounts it because of sucide bombers, many say that is wrong, even I believe that is wrong--how do you rectify it with doing the same thing to christianity?
