You are forgiven. Why can't you forgive yourself? Life is a learning experience. Jesus said, "You are forgiven. Go and sin no more." If I have to forgive the same person 70 times 7 for the same act, do you not think that our Father will do the same for us and not More. "Oh, ye of little faith."

Peace and Love

If you've repented of the sin and asked God to forgive you, then let it go. You're forgiven, washed clean as snow, and there's nothing for you to feel guilty about anymore. That guilt you keep feeling is sent against you by Satan to cripple you and keep you from being as strong and effective a Christian as you might be otherwise. If you keep thinking about your guilt, you have less time to thank God for your blessings, less time to pray for other people, less confidence when you witness to people, and all those things. But if God has forgiven you (and He certainly has) then who has any right to accuse you or make you feel guilty? Nobody. When you begin to feel that way, do your best to dismiss it from your mind and not dwell on it, remembering that it's a lie. Eventually, it will stop coming back.

No need for details. That would be gossip.
Social workers are bound to report illegal activity, so watch it with them.
The subconscious mind is a marvelous machine. It is capable of being reprogrammed. That is what prayer is about. And it's why Jesus provided the outlet of confession. Confess your sins to those whom you have harmed, ask their forgiveness, and then whenever guilt tries to come back remind yourself that you are forgiven. The subconscious believes what it is told, but you have to outweigh the garbage that was there first. Keep at it. You'll be alright.

God says that sex should be fun, fulfilling, enjoyed, and to have at it as often as it pleases....where is your guilt stemming from?

If your past experience on the subject was not any of the above, you always have the next moment to make changes for it to be so....Just do it! And please move on with a happier heart...

Deal with the guilt, rather than trying to forget the deed. Learn from your own actions, friend.

I would suggest that you do not try to forget. Trying to forget something is like not thinking about an elephant. Can you not think about an elephant? One of the most useful things you can do, I suspect, is to think about something else. I have always found it helpful, when I want to get my mind off myself, to look around and see if I can do anything useful for someone else.

If you don't believe god will forgive you and accept your repentence then your making another sin... Just pray because you want to pray and not because you feel obliged or that you're doing it in return for something...

before you can accept God's forgiveness, you have to forgive yourself....fornication is a trap alot of people fall into these days and it's hard to resist....even for the strict religions like muslim and Christianity, but God Forgives! You have repented and God had already forgiven you...you have to excersise your faith and believe in His forgiveness and forgive yourself....you will not forget, but you can remember it in a different light....one in which you truly learned and you can move on enlightened.....p.s....been there...done that►◄●►

This is why I'm not in an organized guilt/fear/desire based religion. Stop feeling guilty, it's in your biology to want to reproduce, we're all still animals.
