Most gangsters and thugs are NOT devout Christians. Give me a break! If they were serious about loving the Lord, they would not be doing what they're doing. They would know the love of God, and feel this love, and know they belong to something bigger than what is here, and wouldn't have the "need" to belong to a gang in the first place. They would "feel" secure without it.
I see what you're saying, and maybe this is all true, but I also know many, many troubled "white folk" too. It just isn't the black population that does this, many white people do it too, except maybe they say "the devil made me do it" more than the blacks!

i hope you're at least part black to say a statement like that. anyway, the real source of black peoples problems dates back to slavery, which the oppressors found was condoned by the bible. they no longer know who their ancestors were or even what country they're from. so i agree that christianity may be to blame but not necessarily for the reasons you state. although i think you're right about reason #10. i went to a funeral for one of my cousins and the preacher started preaching that doomsday nonsense.
