Does anyone else notice that a big problem with Yahoo! Answers is that people ask loaded questions involving religious beliefs. If most replies discount what they are asking for example questions relating to say why humans walk upright and the vast majority of the answers involve evolution and the asker picks one of the two replies that mentions something about god. In another case, I answered a question regarding the legitimacy of the Shroud of Turin. The asker wanted proof that it was authentic since in this case someone at his church told him it was, and several "added details" and a dozen or so replies to his question all debunking the authenticity of it, rather than award points to those who answered the question and spent time exhaustively researching for him. He just pulls the question so no one gets a "best answer" I think it's a big problem with this site as people as loaded questions about opinions on things or facts and really just want agreement not the "best answer".

Okay, my aunt is going to give birth anytime now and her and her huband have many arguments about what to name them. My uncle is bhuddist and my aunt is a christian, so there's a a lot of disagreements. My uncle wants to name one of them nirvana, but my aunt doens't like it becuase she doesn't "believe" in it. So he decided their names should be nirvana and neveah (heaven spelled backwords) Because they both want their children to have the same frist letter in their name, but my aunt doesn't like the idea of heaven bieng spelled backwords. I think the names are so cute and unique, aunt thinks their names are going to be their religion for some reason, and whats nirvana anyways?

Yesterday I asked if it was OK for students to wear "Straight Pride" T-shirts to school.

Dannii n Sac responded: "No that is pretty much the same as someone walking into school with a KKK outfit."

What is it with the sheer intolerance and bigotry displayed by so many gays and their advocates?

If they're not threatening their debate opponents with choking and acid facials, if they're not hurling racist slurs at opponents who (like me) happen not to be white, they're comparing straight people to the Klan.

I thought you folks were the big champions of respect and tolerance. But I guess many of you just want to receive those things, but don't want to give them.

Today the new Peace Symbol we see is the CND peace symbol. 100 years ago the orginal symbol was a V, today it looks like an upside down V glued to a pitchfork. Also it looks like and upside down broken cross. Is this a sign of false peace as toldin the Revelation?

If sin entered mankind about 6000 years ago, and the cure for the disease was introduce only about 2000 years ago, then God waited around for 4000 years withholding the cure. Why did God sit on the cure for 2/3rds of biblical history? How many people were born and died without the cure in that amount of time. Even after the cure came, he only spread it by word of mouth for most of that 2000 year period. There are still people living today who have not been offered the cure. If God is all good and perfect. why the inefficiency and procrastination? Is he inefficient by design? Is that what they mean by intelligent design?

I think that the existence of mosquitoes only adds to the discomfort of man in nature, I dont see any use for their presence in the world.

Then I challenge you to read a new book out called Misquoting Jesus. It'll open your narrow eyes quick. Then you might grow a brain and your own opinion.

If you say "whatever my heart tells me" then you have declared yourself God.

If you say whatever the majority of society says, then what Hiter did was right.

If you say the Bible, then you must believe it 100% for it to be valid, as if you don't it no longer becomes absolute but pick and choose, which is the same as "going with your heart".

If you say there is no absolute truth, you have made an absolute statement and contradicted yourself.

my question:
is the book of mormons an addition to the bible?

A limited human who can easily be lead astray, be convinced of lies, suffer emotional or psychological problems, be raised by nutty families, get the wrong impression, become rebelious and childish, be taught incorrectly, have faulty intuition, be awed at trees and the flowers, have unjustified self-love or self-hate, or just plain doesn't have access to all the right information...

must conclusively decide the fate of his eternal existence?

Huh?

What do you really and truly believe in? can you explain your beliefs in a truthful way. Not repeat what someone else said or other suppositions and just because; but what you can prove to be true, not how you feel?
