People tend to associate the Rebel Flag against Blacks
The Flag that has flown over slavery the longest it the one that is flying now
History shows that the slavery issue was not brought up until the end of the war almost
I think this is why they are having a problem with it
wear what you like it makes no difference on how you feel on the inside..........God knows how you feel

I never understood why people say the rebel flag is a "heritage" thing or its not meant to be racist. The Confederacy ceded from the Union because of the abolishment of slavery. That's what the Confederacy stood for and the rebel flag is the symbol of the Confederacy. It is racist, no matter how southerners try to change its meaning--the flag will always stand for a group of people who would rather create their own country than give freedom to slaves.

Dear, Southerners are traitors who tried to break up the United States. Their flag is a symbol of that. If you think that the symbol of being a traitor and a slave owner is "heritage" then that is your problem. I guess I could say that the Nazi flag is "white heritage" and pretend it doesn't have connotations, but then I would be as foolish as you.
By the way, how did the treason of your ancestors work out? Do we have to come down there and burn Atlanta again or what?

The skull and spike beads are the problem...you have some very important symbols mixed in with those. It looks like you are mocking what other people hold dear. I would make the skulls and spikes one necklace and the important symbols another.

Some people will be offended by the Southern flags; some people will be offended by the skulls. I'd probably look because it sounds like an unusual combination.

Because in addition to your belief that the confederate flag represents pride, to many people it represents racism and slavery. The confederates were fighting for slavery, no ifs ands or buts about it, and a lot of people (myself included) see that flag as a way of someone saying, "The south was right, darkies."

Wear it and fly it with pride. If people can't let go of the past then they are uneducated. There was a black guy on the news going off on these people because his great grandfather was a Confederate soldier. There will always be someone somewhere that is offended by something. You can't please everybody all of the time. Keep it flying.

Because the things you used are symbols that people find offensive. Just because they mean nothing to you does not mean they are not offensive to someone else.
Not that I'm saying you shouldn't wear them, but if you do, you will have to deal with the consequences of that decision. Mainly the stares you get from others.

you need to research what that flag stood for which was Slavery. Literally, the removal of slavery spurred a technological revolution that wouldn't have happened if slavery would remained.

the southern flag is associated with the side of the war who wanted to keep slavery....that's why it's considered offensive.
