Why do people try to hide God from others just because they hate him. That's real messed up to deprive someone else of God just because you dont except him. Thats like how Satan cant get into heaven so he tries to stop humans from going in. They try to stop people from learning of God by trying to take the bible out of prisons, and where ever possible. And then what would be worse is if they deprived a child from God. The bible says things about how bad that is obviously like whom ever does that it would be better for them to tie a rock to their neck and throw it in the river.

I've heard good religious explanations of why good things happen to bad people; most of them tend to suggest that God doesn't directly intervene in history. If you believe the divine intervention described in the Bible in a purely literal sense, how do you view modern tragedies - Holocaust, 9/11, for example - with respect to divine intervention?

I love the church that my boyfriend and I go to. The paster is wonderful, and there's always a good atmosphere. I have heard a lot of good things about the church, and I've heard a lot of bad things, too. It seems like there are a lot of people who attend this church that are hipocrites and those type of people who go to the bar on Saturday night, and in church on sunday morning. It bothers me when I tell people that I go to this church and they say something bad about it. I defend the church as much as I can. The answers on here won't affect my choice to attend this church, I just wanted to know if it would bother anyone else, or if I just shouldn't worrry about it.

If we love everyone in heaven will the special love I have for my son be the same as the love I have for everyone else?
If it is, won't it lessen how special my love for my son is, since I love everyone else the same way?
If it isn't, won't I have preference towards my son over others in heaven and that will lead to conflicts or even anger.
Do we only interact with those we love in heaven and is that the true nature of heaven?

The news website Rediff.com India reported: "Hinn claimed that he had cured several people of ailments with the blessings of Jesus Christ, but hundreds of disabled and sick people returned disappointed, without getting any remedy." The report also mentions "A doctor, meanwhile, lodged a police complaint against Hinn and the organisers of the show, seeking action for what he said was the death of a man due to cardiac arrest after being pushed by Hinn on the stage on Saturday".

Why is it that people assume they are blessed? For instance, you'll hear artists or athletes or whoever claim that God has blessed them with some talent. Why them and not us? Are we to be in awe of their talent that God deemed they were more worthy of it than you or I? Is it some ego thing or does God like to play favorites? Never understod this mentality, any thoughts?

There are three ways of seeing life. In one people stick fast. In another they go to excess. In the third they see correctly.

In the first way, people take pleasure in all the things of life--in possessions and happenings, in families and continuation. When a teaching is proclaimed that advises nonattachment and going beyond the dictates of the self, their heart does not leap up and they are not drawn to it. In the second way, people are afflicted by hatred of life. Just as attached to life, they nonetheless revile it and make a bad thing of it to excess.

In the third way, people see life as it is--forever being and ceasing to be. They accept it willingly but are not attached and do not despair. It is they who begin to know the unconditioned.
