He had to die as a sacrifice for our sins. No one could live up to the Mosaic laws and animal sacrifices only covered sins, they did not take them away. Jesus who was both god and the perfect man had to die so we could be perfected in the eyes of God through his blood so we could live eternally with God.

To the others who have commented: There are a lot of Messianic Jews, Jews who believe in Christ. They are still Jewish.

Why did Jesus have to die? Couldn't God have found another way?"

Answer: God is all forgiving and all powerful. At the same time, though, God is also holy, just, and righteous. God’s holiness and justice demand that sin be punished (Romans 3:23; 6:23). God is infinite and eternal. Since all sin is ultimately committed against God (Psalm 51:4), the only just punishment for sin is an infinite and eternal punishment. The only way we can personally pay for our sins is by spending eternity in hell, in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14-15). However, God, in His love, mercy, and grace, provided for our salvation.

Jesus Christ was God in the flesh (John 1:1, 14). When Jesus died on the cross, His death was an infinite death because He was God, and therefore infinite and eternal. Jesus’ death was sufficient to pay for all the sins that have ever been committed (2 Corinthians 5:21). All we must do is place our faith in Him, and our sins will be forgiven (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10). That is why Jesus had to die. His death was the only way our sins could be forgiven.

Isaiah warn against Christianity

Isaiah warns of coming chaos:

24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. 24:2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; ... 24:3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. 24:4 The earth mourneth [and] fadeth away, the world languisheth [and] fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

Then he says WHY this will happen:

24:5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 24:6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, ...

The New Testament advocates all three of these things

1. Transgressing the Law:
•Galatians 3:13
•Galatians 3:24
•Romans 7:6
•Galatians 5:
•Hebrews 7:12
•Romans 4:13-16

2. Changing the Ordinances:
•Ephesians 2:15
•Colossians 2:14
•Colossians 2:20

3. Breaking the Everlasting:
•Colossians 2:16
•Galatians 5:2
•Hebrews 7:12

The price of sin is death...the reason animals were sacrificed on Old Testament times for atonement of sins.

The 10 Commandments (The Law) shows us what we need to do to be righteous...we all fall short of The Law (Rom. 10:23). The Law condemns us...and shows us our need for a Savior.

John 3:16 tells us that while we were sinners, God 1st loved us, and sent His son to live a sinless life and be sacrificed a sin-bearing death. His blood was sufficient before God the Father at an atonement one and for all, such that anyone who repents and places their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord is (1) Justified before the Father, (2) Forgiven of their sins, (3) have the righteousness that Christ earned for us imputed to us, (4) called the children of God, and (5) inherit the kingdom of God and salvation.

Jesus' death and resurrection made this way for each of us to have our relationship restored with God, and salvation for our souls. Jesus earned all the favor we will ever receive...we cannot earn any more by our works or thoughts. Nor can we receive any less. The believer in Jesus receives the favor and salvation Christ earned...the non-believer will be judged by their actions through The Law...and always fall short of the glory of God.

Jesus was a gift to us, by the Father. Jesus is our Lord and Savior.

History and the Bible says that Jesus was killed by.the Jews. And so, the word spread in the world calling the Jews as Jesus killer. Here's a thing, Jews normally offer a healthy and unstained pure lamb to the altar. Offerings are done for sacrifices and atonement for their offenses against God's law. These are lambs. They are animals.
It was written in the old testament and also in the new book, that man is to be born and then suffer and die for the sins of Israel (meaning they are the Jews). Jesus was said to be perfect and born without sin. Comparing to the lamb, he is the perfect candidate that will please God if he is offered for the forgiveness of the sins of Israel. (Remember I am always using sins of Israel because that's what was written in the book and it was only in latter centuries when the sacrifice included the world.)
In your sane mind as a Jew and finding Jesus as a perfect candidate then loving him for being good and a healer and as a son of God would you dare do anything to kill him? I do not think so. So, what should be the best way to offer him? And Jesus did something to be hated by the Jews, first it is an offense punishable by death to desecrate the Sabbath day by healing the sick. Then, He claims to be the son of God which for the Jews it also a blasphemy and punishable by stoning to death. Third, the synagogue is an important assembly place and house of God, he said he is going to destroy it and restore after three days, another blasphemy to be stoned to death. Conspired by the Romans who were afraid that Jesus will be a rebel leader who might lead the Jews against Rome so, he was killed.
Jews never realized how the offering was accomplished to save their sins. You have to hate the man otherwise, it will be hard to offer someone you love even if it means your sins will be forgiven. Old Roman church and those who blindly calls themselves as Aryan race capitalized on the propaganda of hating the Jews by telling the Christian world that it was the Jews who killed Jesus. the fact is that it was the only way he could offer himself as a sacrifice. In both Testaments Jesus knew all the way that he has to die as he said his last word Consumatum Est".....IT IS DONE !

That first guy is nonsense. Isiah prophecied Jesus' coming.

It was only through the perfect sacrifice that our sins could be forgiven. All the lamb with out defect that were sacrificed in the past were a sign of what was needed. A symbol that only the perfect Lamb of God's sacrifice would do.

Just like in the old testament there was a blood sacrifice needed to cover the sins of the people, after Jesus came and was the only perfect man to walk on the earth, he was the perfect sacrifice once and for all for mankind. He redeemed us and we no longer have to sacrifice animals. Blood was required, but not just any blood.

We are alike.

Consider this:

God? He or She?

Church? Christianity? Jesus? Dying?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

(NOT A VIRGIN BIRTH! - Google Imacculate Conception. What else do you falsely believe? ) Immaculate Deception?

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us? Big deal!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.

If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?

If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.

Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.

Believing and not thinking is like choosing a mental illness and becoming truly lost.

Jesus had to die to be the person and God that you now know him as. The blood of Jesus was the only perfect sacrifice able to cleanse the world of its sins.
