I think they were so in tune with God and locating Heaven that nothing else in the world mattered. Not the people on Yahoo! Answers, TV, nobody.

Get the point?

What led you to your belief in Jesus Christ? And were you earlier a member of specific Religion? Why did you choose to attend a Non-Denominational Church?

But in 1995 the SBC finally admiited it was wrong about slavery and racism. If the SBC was completely wrong about slavery and racism, then is it possible that they might be completely wrong about the pressing moral issues of today? The SBC has always used the bible to justify its position. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Baptist_Convention

He supports capital punishment. Was responsible for the most deaths due to capital punishment while he was the Governor for Texas. Now he is reponsible tens of thousands of deaths of innocent Iraqis and thousands of US soldiers in search of non-existent WMDs. Only old degraded warheads from previous wars were found.

He likes to prejudges and shoots first. Ask questions later and look for evidence afterwards. He's like a bad cop who shoots your dead first just because he thinks you look like a thug and then tries to find anything illegal on you. He finds a swiss-army knife on your keychain and reports that he had to shoot you first because you were concealing a weapon.

What do you guys think?

And that if I ever truly believed in Jesus, then I still would?

So - only "true" Christians remain Christians all of their life, huh?
Anyone who leaves is a "fake" or a "fraud", huh?
That's the proof of a "true" Christian?

Anyone ever think that this sort of rhetoric possibly contributes to causing others (or at least me) to decide to leave; causes one to change his/her mind/heart/spirit?

Why do I even care?

(Sorry for a series of questions, but they all stem from the same comment.)

... and thus rid of the idea that your Koran and Bible are totally inspired by God, and cannot be changed, then you've got some pretty beautiful ideas in your books to share with the world.

No, you won't go to Hell.

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the United States. Former Christians like myself are joining the perfect religion of Islam everyday. When will we reach the point where we can have an Islamic Republic in the United States ? My thinking is within 30 years, we will have a Muslim president.

How should we achieve our goal, Muslim brothers and sisters ? Should we start a revolution like in Iran ? Should we start an Islamic political party or take over the GOP and Democrats ? Will we need to pass a Constitutional amendment saying Sharia supersedes all other laws or simply throw the Constitution away. We should think of these things now because the time will come soon.

I have a hard time understanding how Julia's imposter is allowed to continually ask obnoxious questions while using her name and likeness. This cowardly person is too chicken hearted to make statements in his own name so he chooses to hide behind a spiritual woman. Could it be this person has an inside connection with Yahoo or worse yet even be employed by Yahoo? Hmmmm.... What do you think?

I know of two people that have denied the faith even though they declare the faith to be true.
This I am sure is common in any religion. Why do people do it? Do they have a lot of pressure from their family to stay with the one religion that he/she was raised in?
Give me stories if you would like.

Hi everyone! Well, before I ask this rather dumb and strange question, I'll just tell you that I'm 13, so please don't flame or tell me off! Ok, here it goes..

A while back (Almost a year) I started thinking about death a lot. I love action and war movies, and after watching them a lot, it starts to get you sort of depressed. Anyways, I managed to work my way out of that type of thinking sometime after. I remember watching CNN on the 6th of June, and they takled about stuff like the Normandy Invasions, etc..etc. And then, and interview on the O'Reilly Factor came on, and these two authors discussed what was known as the 'End Times' (Apocalypse) and how the world is supposed to end soon. This plopped me right back into that depression again. So, I'm wondering, what are your thoughts on this? Do you believe it? I've only heard authors discuss it, and not any religeous people. (Priests, etc..etc) If God created life, why would he abruptly end it?

Thanks for any replies!
