I'll take the time to answer the questionseriously though it is framed as a bit incendiary and not really worthy.
Christianity isn't bad or a problem and that's coming from a very outspoken critic of the theology. The problem isn't the theology though, as with most world religions it is founded on good ideas and mostly sound principles. The problems arise with the power elite concerned with self serving purposes rather than community. This is where the critics cite the abuse and deceit perpetrated by "missionaries" proseltizers zealots and the like. My opinion is that most practicing christians are really decent people just like the rest of creation looking for a meaning set of values to teach their children and to live their lives by. Its the wielders of concentrated power using it for anti-social ends that cause what we don't like about major world religions.

Hi O'Hare. That is a very bold, shallow and insipid question. We live and share the same planet; we share the same air but we have different beliefs. I am not a Christian but I would certainly not ask that type of question on the net. Your question contains an air of hate and disgust which may result in you getting blacklisted on this page - as in others will just treat you as invisible. There are limitations and boundaries in everything. Well, not unless if you're an attention seeker, are you (please don't reply...just a rhetorical question)? By the way, are you still in high school / secondary school? Pardon me for asking. My 10 year-old nephew did ask the same question some time back.... well, just so know:)

First question, why are there so many Christians?
Because the "Good News" spread faster, more credible than propaganda and saved them.
Second question, Are people really that dumb?

The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
I would never call anyone dumb, not even you. But that is the good thing about Christians, we don't judge others (Matthew 7)

People need something to believe in and Christianity is a pretty good choice in my opinion.
I am no Bible thumper and most of my Christian friends probably don't expect to see me at Rapture, cause I'm not much of an institutional Christian. But I believe...you know kinda like John Walton on the Walton's and like that Clay Walker song "Jesus was a Country Boy".
Don't let all the self-righteous, born agains who speak in tongues keep you from knowing how great Jesus and Christianity are. Take if from this Liberal Democrat, Jesus has got it going on.

there are so many christians because dont you see whats going on in israel do you want to go to hell i kno theres a Jesus cuz when im in church i can feel his presence you should except Him into your heart because he knos you and loves you even tho you dont kno Him go to church this Sunday and ask God into your heart your life will be easier and better pray and ask God to forgive you do it now cuz you dont kno when your going to die and then you wont have a second chance go buy a Bible and read it tonite it's and interesting book and im only 14 a teen christian and girls think its hot if a guys a christian
