Muslims not only believe in Jesus, but also in Moses & all other prophets. Muslims respect all prophets with high esteem.

But Jewish people deny Jesus & Muhammad. Christians deny prophet Muhammad. Jews probably think that Jesus is not the real Messiah. They are still waiting for some form of Messiah.

Islam, as a religion, was created after Judaism and Christianity. In developing their new religion, Muslims chose to acknowledge the contributions of Old Testament prophets and Jesus by including them among their own prophets. Islamic belief is that Judaism and Christianity were earlier Great Ideas for Religion, but they got sidetracked and fell from the true path. Mohammed, in the Islamic belief system, returned the True Path to the people of the world. Allah is the Arabic word for "God". At least in theory, Christians, Jews and Muslims are all worshipping the same diety. Our religions have more in common with each other than most people realize.

Jews believe in Jesus, they just don't believe He was the Messiah as prophesied in the Old Testatment. Many Jews have come to accept Christ as the Messiah, which is where the term "Messianic Jew" comes from.

Muslims also believe in Jesus, but they only believe He was a great prophet and nothing more.

To Muslims, Jesus is a prophet...but they don't believe he is the son of G-d. Jews, don't believe he is the son of G-d because Jesus does not fit with what the Messiah will accomplish, even his bloodline disqualifies him from being the Messiah. No offense to Christians that's just what some believe

jews don't believe in jesus because jesus does not match up to any of the emands of messiah-hood in his personal actions or character and therefore is useless. He cannot be a prophet because the era of prophecy had ended over 200 years before his death. The gospels are invalid texts to jews and there is no reason to hold jesus in any esteem.

as to why muslims believe? I have no idea.

Muslims beleive in jesus as the greatest prophet after muhammad p.b.u.h and abraham. They honor and respect him the same as all other prophets of GOD. Allah describes in the quran how jesus did great miracles to the blind, the needy, the hopeless. Jesus lived a pure life and when the romans Crucified him GOD deceived the romans and lifted him to heaven where he resides until his return. How could almighty god let jesus his great prophet, mesiah die on the cross?

Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet of God, just not as important as Mohammed was.

Jews are looking for the Messiah, and don't believe that Jesus was that person.

they are two totally different religions. Jewish people believe that Jesus existed, that he was a real person, but they don't believe he was anything special, especially not the son of G-d. I'm not sure what Muslims think about Jesus, but basically they are completely different religions and cannot really be compared like that.
