Matthew 27:46: " And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"
This shows that Jesus is not God. He was crying out to his Father in the heavens whom he also considered his God.

Just a thought, and my opinion:
This is what Jesus said after God had withdrawn to the farthest reaches of the Universe. It was probably the first time in Jesus' life that he did not feel the presence of God, and so he knows how it feels for us, so he can understand why some people have such a hard time believing.

These are the first words of Psalm 22.
The ancient Jews typically had all the Psalms memorized.
For them, reciting the first few words of a Psalm was their way of calling attention to the whole Psalm.
That's what Jesus was doing -- He was calling everyone's attention to the ENTIRE Psalm 22, which in its entirety speaks of praise and trust in God even through terrible adversity.
So, don't take His words here out of context. See them the way the ancient Jews would have seen them, in order to see what He was really trying to get across.

The only way that God has forsaken you is if you are Satan! And if that is who you are then you made that choice on your own. God said to us, as his children, that he will never leave us or forsake us. God bless.

that was Jesus at the cross talking to god the father. At that point Jesus became SIN and therefore God turned his "back" on Jesus, because God and sin cannot "co-exist". Jesus (god-incarnate) felt the sadness and horrible reality of how sin had seperated the human race from God.

When Jesus said that from the cross HE was telling all around HIM to read a PSALM that begins with those words..
Psalm 22:1 Was being fulfilled by Jesus at that time!
They were not numbered as they are today.

That is actually what Judas said on the cross when people thought it was Jesus Christ... while Jesus was safe with the two angels that brought him to heaven.
