But in 1995 the SBC finally admiited it was wrong about slavery and racism. If the SBC was completely wrong about slavery and racism, then is it possible that they might be completely wrong about the pressing moral issues of today? The SBC has always used the bible to justify its position. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Baptist_Convention

I have never seen slavery condemned in the Bible. My opinion of them hit zero in 1995 because it was typical Liberal pandering to blacks.

Since Wikipedia could have entry's from just about anyone, and I can not find any other references to SBC and Slavery, I tend to debate the accuracy of your source.
I am sure you Love the SBC and the reason they are here today. They may have had a rough start, but I don't know and at the moment, don't care. They are more inclusive then the Liberals are, and are doing more for the entire World then anyone else. I guess if they had a rough start, they made it up with what they are doing today!

Thanks for showing us how far they seem to have come!

Yep, I knew that.

"The right of holding slaves is clearly established in the Holy Scriptures, both by precept and example." Rev. R. Furman, D.D., Baptist, of South Carolina

"[Slavery] was established by decree of Almighty God...it is sanctioned in the Bible, in both Testaments, from Genesis to Revelation...it has existed in all ages, has been found among the people of the highest civilization, and in nations of the highest proficiency in the arts." Jefferson Davis

It doesn't matter what the SBC says. Check the Bible. That's the main resource for moral issues. God laid it all out.. :D

Yep, I say every one should own a slave or two. The hard part is deciding who gets to be Master and who gets to be slave. Damned moral issues. Maybe we could take turns.
