hinduism had people like gandhi, tagore and nehru
buddhism has the dalai lama

while islam keeps producing only osama's , sadam's, nasarallah's and alzakawi's
when will islam produce a humanitarian leader who can think better than osama?

YOU'RE SAYING HE EXIST, YOU PROVE IT

1. Faith is not proof. It's just a mental block to keep you from questioning your belief

2. Not understanding how the universe came about is not proof. Assumpions can not be accepted as proof.

3. Your existence is not proof. It's only proof that your mom and dad had sex if you're not a test tube baby

4. Beauty and perfection of this earth is not proof. If you think about all the natural dissasters, this earth is far from perfect.

5. A feeling you have is not proof. The belief is what caused the feeling in the first place.

6. Miracles are not proof. The very meaning of a miracle is simply something you dont understand

7. Not understanding luck is not proof. Again, assumptions can not be accepted as proof

8. Bad accidents or natural dissasters in not proof. Once again, assumptions can not be accepted as proof.

9. The bible is not proof. There are too many contradictions in the bible http://www.evilbible.com.

Whenever something good happens they'll say Amen! Praise God! blah blah blah But when something bad happens, they say," Oh that was the devil! What a load of B.S.! I thought God was supposed to be all powerful. Isn't it fair to say that when something bad happens, God ALLOWED it to happen? Don't the scriptures say the devil only has what power God allows him to have? What do you think?

My husband and I will have his kids for 2 weeks in August. My husband and I are spiritual, but don't believe in organized religion, so we don't go to any church. The kids (ages 8, 12 and 15) go to a Protestant church with their mother. She's insisting the kids go to church while here. My husband asked the kids what they wanted on the phone last night and the two older ones said they really don't want to go, the younger one simply said "Mommy makes us go". Should we fight her on the issue and not take the kids to chuch, or make them go?

This is why i'm an Atheist

1. A good God would show himself(visually) atleast every 10 years and I dont mean in the form of a hurricane or a car accident

2. If a good God exist, he would show himself to every Atheist and there wouldn't be any Atheist. Atheists would not ignore reality

3. Us Atheists wont assume that everything we dont understand must be a message from God. That's delusional. We need solid proof.

4. The grass, trees, ect., is NOT evidence that God exist. Coming to comfortable assumptions is not the way to find the truth

5. The bible has nothing to do with if God exist. Anybody could write a book and say God inspired them.

6. There's way too many contradictions in the bible http://www.evilbible.com

7. There's too many religious beliefs. Why is it so hard for God to come down and get the story straight considering all the blood shed in the name of God?

Those that are clearly meant to be offensive to nonbelievers take days or are not removed at all? I have had a question removed and it was critical but was in no way offensive. I have seen many that are crude and hateful toward nonbelievers and they are not removed. If the wording was changed to Christians or religious it is pulled in a matter of minutes.

Is the criticism just part of Christian persecution of all religions that are not Christians. Have Christianity not done bad things in its history? What exactly have scientology done so bad in its last 5 years? Can someone please answer this question.

no religious book or religion or even the existance of a Diety can be proven in anyway. so why do people take their religions to be literally correct by all means? why are people becoming more and more fundamentalis (specially muslims)? could this be the sign of the death of God as rudolph Bultmann claimed?
All religions are dying under the hammer of science and new thinking and ethics. lots of people just cant welcome the idea that God is not a being, and could this be the reason why most are turning towards extremism?

I've noticed that within the past ten years, two things have happened side by side... more people are challanging God and His beliefs and more inhumane acts are being commited. Stem Cell Research, Gay Marriages (i'm really not against them completely), suicide bombings, more and more murders, kidnappings. doesn't it seem that they just pop up on the news every second?!?
