Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and the only ally the US has in the region. They are surrounded on all sides by terrorists.
Israel gave up large tracts of land and bulldozed their own settlements to give the Palestinians their own country. However, this did not satisfy the terrorists. Time and time again they have sent suicide bombers and missiles to kill innocent civilians. Israel even built a wall to try to keep terrorists out, but the raids kept coming and they were on constant terror alert. Now Hamas and Hezbollah, two of the terrorists groups, have kidnapped Isaeli soldiers. They have taken over the government of Lebanon. Israel has had enough. They are now doing what the US should be doing - destroying the headquarters of the terrorists. These are the same terrorists that attacked us on 9-11 and have attacked Britain, India and other countries. That's why they cannot be trusted

The villains are the people who planted a country where there were already people living and transferred them out as they wished. I know that colonial powers have done as they wanted for a long time but it ends in violence so regularly you would think they would stop. In this crisis, if Isreal wants to fight Hisballah then go for it, why then bomb power plants, water supply, etc etc to destroy Lebanon's capacity to function. That is the real act of evil. If Israel don't think they can defeat Hizballah, dont kill civillians. Exchange the prisoners, as has been done twenty times before in the exact same situation. And then maybe Israel can stop kidnapping more Lebanese as routine.

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East as some claim and then it is an odd country in the region and will not live in peace and harmony when 1.5 billion Muslims are surrounding her and hate her and one day things will change and she is going to be punished for all her crimes. The best solution for Israel is to relocate in the United States (Texas is suitable). Condi Rice is good in mapping and for sure she will find a place for her Jews masters in the new United States close to her.

well Hezbolla started it to begin with, but it is also partly the Lebanese Govt. for not getting Hezbolla out years ago.
The real problem is Islam and their hatred for Israel and there is no answer for that.
I read this in the news..
Israeli missiles hit several buildings in a southern Lebanon village as people slept Sunday, killing at least 56, most of them children, in the deadliest attack in 19 days of fighting. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert expressed "great sorrow" for the airstrikes but blamed Hezbollah guerrillas for using the area to launch rockets at Israel.
With Hezbolla launching from the middle of civilian areas what can they expect?? They also launch at Israel civilian areas.. Could you imagine if Iran had nukes and passed them on to Hezbolla?? They would hold the whole world at ransom..
Also the rest of the Arab world is starting to support Hezbolla. This will start WW3 if they act on that idea.
The real villan as I see it is Islam. I don't want to pick on anyones religion, but Islam is violence and they support (in general) violence.. The Arab world should stop Hezbolla instead of support them.

Think of the area as a school playground with one person different than all the others. This person keeps getting picked on by the other kids. Peck, peck, peck. Then one day the different little boy grew up and became tired of being constantly picked on and then kicked butt.

They are both as bad as each other which is another reason why there will NEVER be any peace in the Middle East.
