I would congratulate myself for raising children that can think and make decisions for themselves.

I don't have kids but I was one of those kids. I told my parents I did not believe in their chosen religion. My father wasn't surprised and my mother was a bit upset but both supported my decision to decide for myself. After all, they admitted themselves, that they had raised me to be an independent thinker and to be able to make decisions on my own.

support them!!!! religion is a personal decision...you cannot force them to believe in something they don't believe in!!! (so being angry/upset would not accomplish anything other than tension and stress)

i make a point of telling my children , do not believe what i say because i say it .. i also encourage them to listen to the religious teachings in school ( christian based but multi cultural teachings also )
i feel its very important for children to have an all round knowledge of religion so that they are given free will to choose which one if any they wish to have
they do support my beliefs and ask wonderful questions about religion in general and i leave it to them to make up their own minds when i give an answer

Depends on the age of the kids. Are they old enough to actually have a cpacity for understanding religion/spirituality? I would ask them what they believed. I would also provide them with some books that would help them to explore their own spirituality. I would want to help guide them to find their own access to God.

Kids should be able to decide for themselves what they want to believe. However, they should be informed of their options before they make a decision.

I would support them. My daughter is 15 and is leaning more towards Wiccan and that is just fine with us. It is called unconditional love. I will always love my kids no matter what religion they choose or if they don't want any at all.

I might not agree with their decision but I respect the fact that a person has the right to choose for themselves. I have 3 children. None of them go to my church. I'm OK with that. Trying to force your beliefs on someone else will only alienate them. I wasn't forced to go to my mom's church. I went there because I chose to. I respect my mom for setting that example for me.

IF MY KIDS DON'T BELIEVE IN ANY RELIGION I AM FINE WITH THAT ...THE KEY TO LIFE IS TO FIND PEACE AND HARMONY..YOU DON'T NEED RELIGION TO FULFIL THAT!
IF MY CHILDREN ARE HAPPY WITH OR WITHOUT RELIGION THEN I AM HAPPY FOR THEM....THEY FOUND THEIR PEACE!
I DON'T BELIEVE IN MY PARENTS RELIGION AND THEY FINALLY LEAVE ME ALONE! I AM FINE AND MY MOM RESPECT MY DECISION....IF YOU STILL LIVE UNDER YOUR PARENTS ROOF THEN THEY MIGHT JUST FORCE YOU!
I THINK IT ALL DEPEND ON HOW FORCEFUL THE PARENT IS...BUT I THINK EVENTUALLY CHILDREN WILL MAKE THEIR OWN DECISION SO LET THEM BE! JUST GIVE THEM GUIDELINES AND DON'T BE TOO FORCEFUL.
