Ok, I'm a Christian, and I have read it is possible so please don't debate on this, I can watch porn without lusting, I am very in control of lust but like any HUMAN BEING things of a sexual nature interest me so I wanted to know, if I can watch porn without lusting and just appreciate the sexual nature of it, is it still a sin to watch?

Theoretically, sure. But think about two things:
First, the difference between theory and practice is, in practice, much greater than in theory.
Second, Jesus said, "You should not tempt the Lord your God." Neither should you tempt yourself.
Hope that helps.

I'm sorry ... I still don't understand how you think that you can view pornography without lusting. If you didn't have any sexual desire at all for what you are looking at (lust) then it wouldn't give you pleasure & you wouldn't keep doing it.

So I guess my answer is yes -- watching pornography is not God's design for sex -- it is a sin whether you think you are lusting or not.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?

The problem is not so much the sin of porn, but the fact that you can say that you are a Christian and that the Holy Spirit would let you watch that and he would not rebuke you. On the basis of what you tell me I would say that you are not really a Christian. Porn carrys with it demonic spirits and the Holy Spirit will have nothing to do with it.. You are under the influence of satan and are decieved. Porn is like drugs and you can not easily escape it. You are truly decieved if you think what you are writing is true..

There is lot of difference between porn and beauty in physical form.If you lust only then will you watch porn, catching fire requires you to burn your hands.I agree that humans lust and there is nothing wrong about it.People involved in Porn are people who are victims ,Prostitution is a tragic form of human slavery .Jesus came to free as all from our sins .He did not want to continue it .Aren't you a contributor when watching victims aren't you a sinner enjoying their suffering? But anyways there is a part of your heart where their is goodness ,cultivate it and their will be no need to watch it.Best of Luck.Praise the Lord.Amen.

Watch porn without lusting? Yeah, and I just watch it for the story lines and great soundtracks

You seem to be going a long way to make a point. Just watch it and enjoy.

You can define lust as an "overwhelming or unrestrained desire or craving" then if you can control yourself, it's not lust....it's just desire. Wanting to eat a piece of cake is desire. Cramming it into your mouth without regards for anything but satisfying your desire would be "lust".

I don't see being a spiritual person as meaning devoid of natural feelings and desires...suppressing these emotions until they manifest in some aberrant fashion is neither holy nor healthy in my opinion. On the other hand, if you experience intense feelings of guilt b/c of something you are doing, then that might not be worth the price you pay internally. As clique as it sounds I ask myself "What would Jesus think?" I ask myself this as I would ask myself "What would Lincoln think? Or Albert Einstein? Or Mark Twain?" You pick your standards and you live up to them as best you can...they are your guide. Personally I don't think Jesus would come over and share a beer and watch Debbie Does Dallas...but I don't think he'd condemn you for doing it. My opinion.

That is a poser.

As a human, watching the two people engaged in sex is going to create a reaction.

You can certainly distance yourself from it by commenting on the terrible camera angles and the wretched dialogue, but, at some point, you will start to put yourself into the picture.

Isn't this akin to being a vegetarian and going to Outback to watch someone eat a steak?

I honestly don't know if it is possible.

Well, watching porn is just watching sinful acts, and pours images and sounds of sinful acts in your mind. They are paid to sin or create porn, and do it for a living. Usually, the porn performers are corrupt the minds of "normal" people with exxagerated body parts doing extraordinary things w/o discomfort. This can distort the geniune nature of love for two people when one indulges in watching "fake" love versur love that is nutured between two people. In most case, when you are married, you have all the time to create love making in God's eyes.

LOL - porn is porn my friend, no matter what religion you belong to, you are human, your actions are driven by the same underlying tendencies and needs - watch porn because its sex and turns you on - and gives you jollys when your member is down - I honestly don't think its debatable - the only thing debateable about porn is whether it encourages rape and teen pregnancy - and for the record - 'Pirates' the swash-buckling porno is a sick adventure filled to the brim with senseless sex and latent 'lust' - peace!
