So if animals have souls, how are they going to find eternal salvation? Do they get a free pass or are they not important enough?

The "soul" is our true identity. We are that "soul." Anything that is conscious, or anything that is born, grows, reproduces, dwindles, and dies, has some sort of consciousness. That consciousness is you...the soul. We are not these bodies. Or our minds. The soul is superior to the body and mind. Animals definitely have souls. Conciousness. Their consciousness are on a different plane then human consciousness. Human beings are supposed to be utilizing their consciousness for spiritual awakening and understanding. Animals cannot do that. The soul within that animal body will someday "transmigrate" or "evolve" to a human form of life. Animals are also a karmic reaction. If, as a human, we live as a pig, we will receive a pig body in our next lifetime. Animals are "pure" because they are 100 percent focused on the demands of that animal body. They cannot ask, "who am I," or "why am I here," and so on. They cannot question their true identity. You could say that existing in an animal body with animal consciousness is a type of hell...as they cannot comprehend any kind of spiritual awakening. "Heaven" is being able to truly educate oneself and free oneself from the illusion that we are this body. And that we can accomplish in this human form of life.

Biblically, you do not HAVE a soul; you ARE a soul.

In Genesis, it says that God breathe into the form of man, and he became a living soul. Body + breath of God = living soul. Most Christians confuse "soul" with "breath of God/essence of life".

And the Bible does speak of animals being in the earth-made-new. Besides, animals do not have freedom of choice, i.e. they are not free moral agents; and neither were they created in the image of God.

Finally, both humans and animals go to the same place upon death: back to the earth. Humans, however, await one of the two resurrections, the first resurrection to everlasting live for the righteous dead. After the millennium, the unrighteous dead are resurrected to receive their reward: total annihilation. The Bible does NOT say anything about sinners burning in hell for eternity. That was a fear tactic used by some to get people to join the church.

In relation to your question about Fido, maybe he will be resurrected; maybe he wouldn't, but he certainly will NOT burn in hell.

What is your definition of a soul? Mine is nobody has one and we and the animals are all the same. We all end up in the same place.

If you're looking for someone to assure you that you and Fido go to Heaven, you better go get a Snickers bar, it's going to be a while.

Nope, animals do not have souls. They don't have important choices to make though they make choices like where to dig for a hole later or what doggie food should it make its owner buy for it.

The matter of life and death is serious and animals simply do not have the potential to decide between good and evil. Jesus or satan.

Or simply, God created them this way, to only fulfil our human needs by doing things for us. Maybe they were meant not to have souls in the first place.

So, when they die, they just die. There's no heaven or hell for them and they will just fade away into the earth.

I hope this answered your question. =)

God Bless You!

The Bible says in the psalms that animals have souls. But I don't think animals have the same purpose here on earth as men do. Human beings are here to honor God, animals are here as part of nature. And maybe it is a bit carried away to be concerned of your pets soul.

Any creature with the ability to love has a soul. They don't need to find salvation, for they haven't sinned, only man has sinned. In the bible it speaks of horses being ridden during the final war, so apparently there are horses in heaven. If there are horses, there are other creatures as well.

If Angels could get jealous of human beings because were made special with a soul and the essence of god in his very image. I would not think that any other being's on earth were made the same way as Us.

reality is superimposed on the self(soul)imagine the soul as a cinema screen, the individual mind and body are the film being projected on the screen(soul) whilst the film is playing the screen(soul)takes on the characteristics of the film, but when the film finishes the screen (soul)still remains untouched by the film. the screen was there before the film(untainted) and it was there after the film (untainted) that's the nature of the soul.everything in existence is projected on one soul(Brahman) so yes animal do have souls and they are identical to human souls, consciousness is consciousness there is no lesser consciousness for animals
