Okay, I am not gay- not that there is anything wrong with it- I am just curious as to the fact that if God felt as strongly about it as some of the Christians I see here then why didn’t he make it a commandment?

these are real passages from the bible.
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.
Think about that how many people work on the Sabbath -- all the employees of Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Linnens & things, grocery stores, convenience stores, power plants, airlines, hospitals, emergency services and on and on and on. Don't rabbis, priests and preachers work on the Sabbath? God wants all of them dead.

You might think I am joking with this question, CERTAINLY NOT!

I have read from more than one Christian here in yahoo that I should "watch my son" around my gay brother in law, since the word "gay" means a few things.

I am curious about other people's believes is all on this.

From suicide bombers to soldiers of war all the way back to abortion is it ever the right thing to do? My husband believes in a concept called Appropirate Death. I don't even truly understand it. For me the only time I kill anything on purpose would be a virus, when I am sick or bacteria ,when I clean the toilet. I don't believe in killing animals or people. Where do you draw the line and is it influenced by your religious beliefs or just personal standards?

The universe is vast, neverending. When you ask someone if they believe in aliens, they usually have to think about it. Think about what, that a being that we never see exists. What about God, we never see him why not put the same principles to him as we do to aliens?

i know the Bible says it's wrong, but since God points out what is best for us. it would make sense that if God really thought it was wrong it would be for a reason and not just because God is omnipotent and can do whatever he wants. So my question is why is it wrong? who does it hurt? and why doesn't the APA agree?

OT stories about Abraham & other founding fathers tell of them being commanded by God to take over a land and then the commander informs the soldiers to take the virgins as war prizes. Questions dealing with that often get answers about going to some website called 'toughlove.org'

I have a friend that is a Jehovoh's witness. She was always into things that I am not even though she seemed to be into her religion more than I. She wanted to be more into her religion. She met a guy and less than a year of knowing him she married him. I was not in her wedding. Which is not a problem because I believe it has everything to do with her religion. But since then communication has stopped a great deal. Her husband is controlling and I know he is really really really into there religion. Is she not suppose to deal with people outside of her religion or is it just her that isn't dealing with me?
