it really does make sense. think about this. God is in heaven. God is perfect, heaven is perfect. If im not perfect (which it isnt hard to believe that none of us are) then if God lets me into heaven, heaven is no longer perfect. then its not heaven anymore is it?
God is so holy, he cant see sin. thats what all the old testament regulations are about- trying to be holy to have a part of God. God chose the israelites to be his own, but didnt like the way they and everyone else kept screwing up. he couldnt just say oh well though, because accepting sin would go against his nature. the only thing God cant do is go against his own nature.
I know this part isnt part of your question, but i feel like i need to at least finish it up real quick. Jesus was Gods ultimate demonstration of compassion for us. we obviously couldnt reach God on our own (sinfullness getting in the way and all) so Jesus subjected himself to a human life and death which, being that he is God and is perfect, took the punishment for peoples sins and resurrected himself to conquer death so that we could stand before God as holy. ie, no more damning for those who believe in Jesus.

Well God has the power to see the future, however in many circumstances he chooses not to. Take for example a pregnant couple. They can CHOOSE whether or not they want to see or know the sex of their baby. Either way, they have the authority in that matter. So just like God. He chooses not to see our individual futures and he did the same with Adam and eve.

None of us is without sin, not one of us. We know the things we think, we know the hate we harbor in our hearts, innocent who? I consider myself a very compassionate, loving, forgiving, person, and with that said, I know that I sometimes step out of the will of God but he forgives me and give me the opportunity to make it right. If I were God, even my children would not be hear and they read their bibles daily and my 20 year old and my 19 year old daughter are virgins. Not one of us would be here because people refuse to love and get along. People choose to keep hatred and confusion going on instead of peace and love. I'm glad he loves us and I'm not God!

God did not damn us all. Everyone is responsible for their own sins. God is Compassionate and Merciful--you do not have to bear the sins of your ancentors--that would be unfair and unjust! To say that humanity is all damned for Adam and Eve's sin is saying that Our God is unjust! Read the Quran and see for yourself. You only have to free yourself of your own sins by asking for God's forgiveness and repenting to Him alone! May God guide you to the straight path.

yes, he knew, but he gave her free will, the CHOICE to do it. God does not make us do things.God gave us obstacles in life to test our faith.obviously, since you think God damned all mankind, which he did NOT do, then you need to work on your faith. We are born sinners. It is a sin to believe in God. That is why people say we are all sinners. He is your Father and your Savior, not very compassionate of you to love Him, is it?

You're an idiot. All mankind is evil--there are no innosent. God loves us so much that He gave us free choice--would you like to be walking around like a robot under communist control? Freedom of choice is the most beautiful thing in creation if one chooses to do the right thing, which we haven't.

Than what would be the purpose of free will? If God didn't create the tree to begin with, there would be no free will. Without free will, we would be mindless zombies wandering around.

The key to that question is the fact that God gave us free will, without which we wouldn't be, well, free. Thus it's not God who danms us, but we are the ones who do it since we don't want to accept his free gift of salvation, choosing to give our hearts to the One who died for us, that is, Jesus Christ.
