these are real passages from the bible.
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.
Think about that how many people work on the Sabbath -- all the employees of Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Linnens & things, grocery stores, convenience stores, power plants, airlines, hospitals, emergency services and on and on and on. Don't rabbis, priests and preachers work on the Sabbath? God wants all of them dead.

Deut 21:18-21. It says:
If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father and mother, who does not heed them when they discipline him, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his town at the gate of that place. They shall say to the elders of his town, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of the town shall stone him to death. So you shall purge the evil from your midst; and all Israel will hear, and be afraid.
That is a whole lot of teenagers that we need to kill.

Then there is Leviticus 20:13:
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death; their blood is upon them.
All homosexuals need to be killed. What about this:
If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbour, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.
That's a lot of people who need to be killed.
why do you ignore theses

Hello friend,
You have cited several passages from God's Book which tells me you have access to knowledge that can bring you to faith in Jesus Christ the Author of Eternal Life.
As with any Bible verse or passage, the all important thing to know and remember is keep the Bible in context.
Each passage you cited, if left standing alone, does not consider it's proper context.
If you truely have a heart to learn God's Word and want to know how You can be with Him in Eternity, I am willing to help you understand His Book.
I am not smarter than you, nor am I religious or holy, but what I am is someone who God has been Gracious enough to give Eternal Life. And my desire is to help anyone who genuinely wants to get Bible answers to Bible questions.
Would you like to know Jesus Christ ? I'd like to introduce you to Him.
God bless,
(2 Tim. 2:7)

"these are real passages from the bible.
God wants all of them dead."
Give it a rest. There is only one recorded instance of the death penalty being carried out for a Sabbath violation in all of the Bible. The type of work that is restricted had to do with creative activities (making light-gathering sticks, kindling fire) and building the Tabernacle. Furthermore, the death penalty can only be imposed on the reliable testimony of two or more witnesses. There has to be a trial and the witnesses’ testimony has to agree and be accurate. Also, it is permissible, even required to work on the Sabbath if it means saving a life. How do you know if rabbis, priests and preachers are paid any compensation for their work on the Sabbath? And you’re incorrect in your assumption that "God wants all of them dead." It is not the death of sinners that God desires but that they should repent of their ways and live.
"Deut 21:18-21....
That is a whole lot of teenagers that we need to kill."
Another faulty assumption. Listen to all the requirements that must be met before the death penalty could be carried out. A son (NOT a daughter). Stubborn AND rebellious. Does not OBEY his father AND his mother. If he listens to one parent and not the other, he is not to be put to death. Does not heed them when they discipline him. They have to discipline him AND he has to not heed them. His father AND his mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders of the town. Both parents have to bring their son to the elders. They have to say ‘this son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey. He is a glutton and a drunkard.’ They cannot lie to the elders. They have to be able to prove that their son is a glutton AND a drunkard. If any one of these should fail, of if the son should repent, the death penalty could not be carried out. All these restrictions made this law basically of no effect. There is not one instance in Scripture where this was carried out. The point was to impress on children the need to honor their parents.
"Then there is Leviticus 20:13:
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death; their blood is upon them.
All homosexuals need to be killed."
Wrong again. Not all homosexuals. Nothing said about lesbians. Also the death penalty could only be carried out for this act if two witnesses could actually testify that they had seen the men lie with each other as one lies with a woman and that they (the witnesses) had warned those men that what they were about to do was a capital offense. This law is rather directed at pagan sex rites that involved men and women dressing in each other’s clothes and men having sex with other men as a religious experience. God wants our religious experience to be about Him through study, worship and acts of kindness and mercy.
"What about this:
If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbour, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.
That's a lot of people who need to be killed."
What about it? You’re making a huge assumption that “a lot” of people commit adultery and “need to be killed”. Get off your high horse. The issue of the death penalty being carried out has already been answered. And remember, a bunch of people wanted to stone a woman suspected of adultery and Jesus said, “he who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.” Are you without sin?
"why do you ignore theses"
In America, our system of justice is not founded on the Bible but on the Constitution and common law. We do not live in a theocracy and no one gets to impose his or her religious laws on anybody else-least of all the government. Don’t like it? Go to Iraq.
You’re dismissed. Thanks for playing. Try again later, if you care.

Jesus died to inaugurate the new testament.
The new testament is where we are, not the old. ( the law )
( the works program )
If the old was good enough why then was there a need for a new one? ( Book of Hebrews ) ( New Testament )
You can not follow a perfect law. You are imperfect.
The law was given to show you you could not follow the law into heaven.
It is by God's grace that you will get there, not the works program.
If you break the law on one point, you break the whole law.
IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?
I see from your question, you don't know.
Or you are an antagonist.
Try Reading the New Testament. You know--Matt. Mark Luke and John and on to the end of the book.

the Bible allows to pull a animal or son out of the ditch even on a sabbath... so necessary commerse and hospitals need to go on
sometimes a person has to work on the sabbath and can take a different day off
there is also a greatter sabbath, a rest in the grace available at the cross and the most inportant sabbath

All of the Scripture text you used in marking your examples are located in the OT written under the dispensation of Law. When Jesus died on the Cross, the Law wasn't superseded; it was merely changed to show that Christ's sacrifice could cover the multitude of sins. If God wanted "all of them dead" today as you put it, there'd be no one left to worship Him! These people can find salvation through acceptance of His salvation plan outlined in the book of Acts, chapter 2, and delveloping a relationship with Christ that teaches them to "mortify ye the deeds of the flesh" as the Scripture teaches. This means that they are to be sincere in their repentace and do whatever is necessary to maintain that relationship with Christ, whether it be asking for a new shift on their job so they don't have to work on Sunday and such. As for the clergy, they are ordained of God to go where they are needed, when they are needed. They can't do any physical labor on that particular day, but if they don't at least preach to us and teach us when we go to the house of God, how will we develop and grow as Christians? The Scripture teaches that "How can they hear without a preacher", so I'm inclined to believe that God doesn't want these people dead anymore; he merely wants them to meet Him halfway.

Those are laws for the nation of Israel. You might want to study your Bible in light of the dispesations that God established. We are no longer in the age of Israel. This is now the Church age, which will be replaced by the Tribulation, which will be replaced by the Millineum, then finally time will stop and eternity will continue once again.

Um, because I'm not Jewish or Christian.
Also, I believe that a just god who really wanted the message spread as--ardently (I found a nice word, yay me!) as most preachers etc do would make such people exempt from any no-work clause.
Also, while I like a few days of rest, I use them for my hobbies, not to just sit around on my butt being useless.

Because all those scriptures are in the Old Testament. We are now under grace and truth. We are not to ignore the old testament, but to learn from it. God still hates sin, but he loves people, that's why he sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. The Bible says "the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Without Christ, all would suffer the consequences for our sins (death) but through Him we receive mercy and forgiveness (life). God Bless You.

We need not blame the companies for the changes in social thought. It was the workers who wanted more hours and the companies went along. Now, they are sorry for making our world 24/7 open.
