I heard at a retreat that the reason why christians dont hunger and thirst for Gods rightouness is because they are filled up by the world.

What are godly ways to hunger and thirst for God, have any of you
felt this way before and if so what did you do about this?

I know these examples are extreme, but I do that to show that absolutes aren't always absolute. Here goes: men break into your house, they rob you, then they force dad to have sex with daughter on camera, and threaten to send the video to the family's church if they report the robbery to police. Daughter gets pregnant. So, it's incest AND a violation of the daughter, AND inbreeding. You're going to make your daughter carry the baby to term? Answer HONESTLY.

God has been daling with me a lot lately.

Why is it so hard to let go of the past than it is to hold on to it.

Letting go is painful because it is easy to hold on and pretend the hurt is not there.

When I let go I feel empty and need to be filled again with Gods love and a postive attitude.

I do feel a little bruised but not broken. How do you handle feeling hurt and how have you let go and let God?

By our dependence on others to contribute to our everyday needs, is the concept of "power" remaining strong? Is this heirarchal system in place for those seeking a bigger picture to advance in manifesting their dreams into reality. Should we be on a level sptiritually to coincde with our technological developments(and be "in sync vibrationally")? I am sure I recall reading an artical about NOSTRODAMAS, saying that World War Three would start in July, not sure what year - but in the early milleniom in the EAST ????
Can any one throw any light on this?
On reflection it MAY not have been NOSTRODAMAS, the article was in a Sunday Newspaper, may have been some other person who looks into the future?

God is so good. Our church is going on a mission tour to sing, give testimony and encurage others churches and outreaches, can you pray that God would bless our tour and our group that is going in addtion to bless the people that are huritng and oppressed

God has had to deal with me about being umerciful and judgemental to people in my church that are single mothers.

I was very hurt and embittered because I was unable to have children and these young girsl were having the babies I always wanted.

I used to have misgivings and sterotypes about single moms and I was very wrong and arrogant to feel this way and think this way exspecially when I did not know the whole story and when these moms would be brave to come to church and admit that they were pregnant.

I have come to humbly realize I am not "all that" and what I have is BECAUSE of Gods amamzing grace. Me being bitter and angry has not and does not help me or the single moms that need to be ministered to. What are ways to continue to overcome the bitterness and resentment I have at times? How can I help others and not judge but love the way Jesus did? Have any of you ever experienced these feelings?
