It isn't just one person. See 1 John 2:18. Basically, it includes those who deny Jesus as the Christ and that he is the Son of God. See 1 John 2:22; 4:2, 3; 2 John 7 (compare John 8:42, 48, 49; John 9:22). 2 John 7 shows that it would also include those who were deceivers, doing powerful works in Jesus' name but yet were classified by him as "workers of lawlessness". See Matthew 24:24; Matthew 7:15, 22, 23. Since Jesus said that what is done to his true followers is done to him, it would include those who persecute his true followers. See Luke 21:12; Revelation 17:5, 6; Matthew 24:48-51. And John specifically mentions among those of the antichrist those who "went out from us," abandoning the Christian congregation. See 1 John 2:18, 19. So it includes "the man of lawlessness" or "son of destruction" that Paul described and the "false teachers" the Peter mentioned. See 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5; 2 Peter 2:1.

By your question I presume that you are not a Christian. If you were you would know that a Christian will never have to worry about the antichrist. Jesus will take the Church (born again believers) to Heaven before the antichrist can create any trouble. (If you should be left here when the Rapture occurs then I suggest you get yourself the books listed below in sources.) I believe that the antichrist will come out of Europe and will be in government. I have heard theologins who believe he will be a part of the Roman Catholic Church but as of yet I have found nothing to substantiate this. He will bring about a peace treaty in Israel in the first 3 1/2 years. In the second part of the Tribulation he will break the peace, demand that people carry his mark, 666, on their hands or foreheads (or they cannot buy food or sell). Those who do not carry his mark will have troubles but those who do will never be able to enter Heaven and will go to Hell. The best way to avoid his ways is to pray and admit to Jesus that #1. you are a sinner. The Bible says that, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". #2. tell Jesus that you believe in Him as the only Son of God and that you believe He died on the cross, bearing all your sins, to give you eternal life. #3 Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and come in to your heart and save you. He will do as you ask if you truly believe and He will save you and take you to Heaven. You will no longer have to be concerned with the antichrist. God bless you.

He will sign a seven year treaty with Israel (a "cease-fire", perhaps?), but will break it in the middle of the 7 years and put an end to the Sacrifice in the Temple.

So to accomplish that, he would need a Jewish Temple to end sacrifices upon.......But Al-Aqsa mosque at the top of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is there right now, although I understand that recent excavations have revealed that it stands like 200 feet outside the original site of the temple, where the outer court would be......

Thats easy, the antichrist will set up home in man-made buildings, called ' churches' were he will pretend to be a saviour of people and comunity. He will read out from a book that he will claim is writen by the hand of god.
He will convince you that there is a Heaven to go to and a hell to be thrown to.. you will repent your sins, and sing to the lord, whilst he laughs at the fact your already in hell and that he's blinded you to the fact!.
Stupid is the person who thinks he is going to be saved, when your already in HELL!!!.

There is no way to avoid the anti-christ as they are not one person, but lead by one, satan the father of all lies. Yes there could be people in government who follow satan. There could be prominent people in industry or music industry. Watch your guard do as Christ asks and you wont be deceived.

Look for someone who speaks like or similar to the words of Christ.
Look for someone who will heal the sick, make the blind to see, lame to walk, dumb to speak.
Look for someone who will solve all global disagreements and end war

Look for someone who will say he is Christ and perform mericals as Christ
