I am 28 and 3 months ago I was diagnosed with MS. I now have to give myself injections 3x's a week, the heat affects me, and my legs sometimes feel so weak that they are going to give out on me.
I thank God that I can still walk, that I am alive, that there is medication that will slow down the progression and hopefully there will eventually be a cure. I thank God that I have my 6 going on 7yr old son and that he is a joy to me rather than a pain in the ****, lol. (only sometimes) I am thankful that I have a home and a good job and a wonderful support network.
I haven't once sat home and cried "why me". Why? Because I can't change it, can't make it go away, but I can thank God for the hand that he has given me because I could have been told I have AIDS or cancer or a tumor, etc.
There is always somebody that has it worse than you. There is always somebody who has it better. That's life. If you dwell on the negative of what God has given you, then your situation will never improve, it will only get worse.

Realize that no matter what, you are stuck with the situation you are in. Why be a crab about it? I know it's hard to see good in bad, but after a little self-training, it can be done.
It's also when your faith in God kicks in. For instance, I am 21 years old and in a day and a half, I will be having back surgery. Most people my age don't have back problems this young. Everything I do, my back hurts. Standing, sitting, laying down even, it all hurts. I wonder why God is doing this to me. I can't even go to church. And then I get a "Get better NOW" card from a few friends that made me laugh. And then someone I haven't talked to in a year writes to me telling me that she's praying for me. When everything seems so dark, the light of God is that much more visible. When you try to look for the light in the dark situations, you will find it. It's just trying to get the effort up to look for it.

I have come to have a different perspective on my life since I began bible study over ten years ago. Being a bible believing Christian, I can see God's hand in my life over the decades, even when things were so bad, I thought it would never get better. His word tells me that trials will produce character, perseverence and hope in my life, and they have. He says to cast my cares on Him, because He cares for me, so I do. "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all things will be added to you". I have done this, and my life wants for nothing.
Since I have pursued the ways of the Lord, instead of my own "ways", everything has changed. I see things through an "eternal" perspective. The circumstances of this earth, in my life, are "grooming" me to be of service to Him in His kingdom. Therefore, everything that comes my way comes through His hand. Some of it isn't easy. That's okay, I trust that He will "work all things for good", because He promises that He will do just that.
I believe God's promises, I am ready to face any challenge.

One of the most important things I've learned in life is the proper way to ask God for help. When I faced a problem or someone who was giving trouble, I would ask God to remove it but then I learned something really important and it has proven to be one of the best lessons I've ever learned. Instead of asking God to remove the situation, I ask Him to teach me what it is I'm supposed to do and supposed to learn from the situation. I realized that if God removed all my problems, I wouldn't learn anything, I wouldn't grow. But, because I learned to ask God to teach me, I can now deal with more challenges in life with my head up and knowing that there, at the end of the road, is a light and there, beside me the entire way, is God, cheering me on and giving me strength. Sometimes I have to ask God to help me to accept the challenges He's set before me but if I remember that through it, I'm going to learn something valuable, it makes it a little easier to face. The "negatives" become positive all on their own because they become a learning tool that strengthens me and helps me grow.

The circumstance we find ourselves in now, was of our own making. God allows us to make choices good or bad. Sometimes His Spirit tries to warn us, but, being the bull-headed humans we are, we plung head long into things and then cry about it. The only dealing He does, is when we are out of His will.
He is the Father and He deals with His children accordingly.

Think of life like a game of trumps
Play the cards that best suit the situation you are in, there is no right or wrong way to do this, but whatever you choose you can either go up or down the next time you need to play a card.

First, stop blaming God for the circumstances that you experience. Realize that in giving us the gift of free will, God also gave us the universal law of attraction in which we are the authors of our own existence.
The universal law of attraction maintains that the vibrations we emit into the world via our conscious or unconscious beliefs, thoughts, emotions, words (written and verbal) and actions, and whether they are positive or negative, love-based or fear-based, lead to the events that we experience in return, in one form or another.
These vibrations occur singly, by individuals and collectively, by societies and cultures.
