unfold, Even if I believe that something good really is going to happen, why can't I just accept that and let it happen, without trying to force it to happen or have confirmation that it is going to happen. Why can't we accept that good is going to happen to us. If it doesnt happen, of course we get upset, but forcing to see or have an answer isnt going to make it happen. Anyone have anyone suggestions on how I can just let life be???

If knowing and accepting Jesus as your savior is the way to Heaven, what of all the people who never knew him? Is Hell rife with evil -- AND nice -- cavemen? Or were they eventually evaluated on their merits and "grandfathered" in?

I just received an e-mail from a Christian gentleman who devoutly believes this. They think that even 9/11 was contrived by 'the man' to further their agenda, and grab some easy oil. I find these beliefs to be extremely dangerous to our society, in that they can be used on the weak-minded much like Al-Qaeda prey on the uneducated to fill their ranks.

My question is - everyone is so sure (in religion) that the earth and everything was created by GOD 6000yrs ago! But who was there to record this event? Surely the author of the Book of Genesis and you, would want proof and not just hear-say that this so called self proclaimed GOD of everything actually did this.

And please don't quote scripture "that is plagiarism!"

In my opinion no one WAS there, so no evidence except a STORY! but there is plenty of evidence to support evolution!! And common sense dictates too!!

Isn't there something basically wrong with our religious teachings? We are in the beginning of the 21st century, and many people do not have a clear understanding of what Satan is. This seems clear from comments posted by a previous question about Satan.

We know that Satan causes suffering. The world is full of suffering. Doesn't it behoove us to understand clearly the cause of suffering and how to overcome it?

By us discovering modern science and understanding the physics of this reality, are we creating the knowledge god will use to create earth in the non space/time environment he resides in. It is sort of a tangled heirarchy or paradoxial question.
If you need any clarification plz ask.

"Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a violent hailstorm. A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne." -The Holy Bible (Revelation 11:19, Revelation 12:1-5)

I wish you guys could be at least atheists like Jimmy Darwin and wrathpuppet. Jimmy has called me " retarded, sickening, and offensive.. " he has offered to make me pregnant and other things in his impatience with my teasing.....etc....But when you talk to him personally he is a veryyy nice man, hes giving, he 4gives, he tries again at being friends, etc. He hears you out ( after he cools off ) and gives you slack. Wrathpuppet is nice, caring, a very decent guy even when he insults me I feel a spirit of a person thats obviously a nice man. Theres Eddy sawyer whos adorable. Theres Sanstheism whos sweet and caring, theres Mike Cormier whos quite the gentleman and precious on IM. Why not at least let this be your goal to emmulate thier good atheist behavior than be so darn nasty and vengeful ? I'd say more but Im to shy....lol

Please give a short description about them. Remember, I have to write an essay on them so make sure a 13 year old boy can relate to them! And don't make it something cheesy like they are the patron saint of sports and I play sports, etc.

We usually go to the Summer Solstice gathering at Stonehenge but have decided that we would also like to go to the Winter Solstice gathering this year. We know that it is open for the Winter Solstice but wanted to know some more details. Does anyone know if there is parking and the other facilities that are there for the summer solstice? Approx how many people attend? Who would be able to tell us more about the times that it will be open? Thanx

Jesus was a Nazarite: a vow of Nazarites was to never cut his hair but “let the locks of the hair of his head grow.” (Nm. 6:2,5, Lev. 19:27; 21:5)
The word Nazarite is from nazar, meaning unshorn. Woolly nappy hair, if simply washed & dried but never combed or brushed, will naturally entwine into long locks as it grows. Samson, the most famous example of locked hair, had seven locks. (Jg. 13:5, 16:17,19)

When someone is mean to you...

When someone hurts you physically and emotionally...

In terms of someone you know as well as a complete hostile stranger...

Whether they say something mean or simply attack you, whether you knew them or not.

What does "The Bible" say about mean, hostile and vindictive people?

If you have scriptures to point out it would be very helpful.

However, every answer has a chance of winning.
