We are taught in sermons and Bible study that we will see our friends, relatives and mates in heaven (if they are chosen) but we will no longer be married to them. Heaven is the final place to share God's love and receive His promise/reward to us.
Once we get to heaven, we are not married to anyone from earth. You will love everyone, hate no person, live in the light and praise His goodness and grace.

I was married just before I turned 20, but my wife passed away three months later due to illness. I think that death has not done us part! Because I am Russian, and married in the Russian Federation, a typical wedding vow reads "I vow to stay with my wife/husband in grief and joy until death separates us," but we refused to say the "until death seperates us." That is actually becoming more common. I don't know specifically which one you'll end up with after death, but I don't know if you even have to choose. I plan to be remarried if the chance should ever arise because if I had switched places with my wife, I would have wanted her to remarry or do whatever was necessary to move on, but there still is that connection you will have with a deceased spouse in any case. You'll still think of them and miss them. That's why death does not really seperate you. No one really knows where you go after you die; maybe you don't have to even worry because perhaps you just go into darkness and die entirely...no one knows until it happens to them!

When we die and go to heaven we will all know one another but htere will be no marriage no pain no suffering. It will be perfect love and harmony. It is said that during the 1,000 year milineum we will be able to play with lions, tigers and bears. for all will be at peace. It is nothing to worry about for we will be able to love God and have His perfect Harmony.

I think that we will all find that out on judgement day. They do always say that there is someone for everyone. We may not even ever know that person while we are alive. But I think that was a really good question.

You have a choice to be with your mate. If marriage is not what you want In your eternal growth, you can be alone or with friends. There is no jealousy, so more than one spouse can reside with each other.

I don't believe that you're going to be with your "mate" when you die. If you believe that you're going to Heaven, then I don't think that who you were with here in this life is going to matter. You'll be with the Lord, serving Him and worshipping Him!

Yeah, that's the catch with that plan, which is a common belief of Christianity.Try looking into reincarnation.Maybe in this life, you aren't ready for the 'big picture'.Maybe your soul has more to learn. And who says that you can't love more than one person(no bible references, please)? Why do you have to choose?

Where did you hear this, this is not from any Christian point of view. Marriage is only till death. We are not given into marriage after death.

I once read somewhere that you won't be "married" in heaven, but the one you were married to on earth, you will have a special relationship with in heaven...

All the friends and family will be there. Mates are thrown in with the mix.
