Muslims why are we taught to believe in the Bible when Jews and christians don't believe in the Quran?

1st of all we have all to admit that the chain of messengers and prophets since Adam till ending by Muhamed (PBUT all)
andas one of the answers siad who comes after has to believe in the previous but not necessary the opposite although there are signs in the elder holy books of another or next prophet but ppl of certain religion become so proud so they try to deny it "(Jews denied Jesus and christians denied Muhammed)so don't make muslims the reason of all mistakes in the world .

and muslims know that we are not enemies to any one and the Quraan said that christians are so close to muslims
besides that Muhammed PBUH married a christian woman
and there are alot of marriages between muslims and christians ....so again know the truth about islam b4 throwing charges

about the point that the Bible was written by 40 or more ppl the Quraan says that the bible is the word of God to juses not to these men ..but still i have to believe in bible as a whole

and also Quraan is not a scientific book but it was also poven to be true and this goes also about prophecies

and ppl stop thinking aout quraan only as a holy book ... it contains what can guide ppl to better life

and About delcaring jesus as a god and part of the holy trinity i can't believe that u ppl believe things that was voted about by humans (the Nequian thing in the davinci code ...i read about it in another book)so salvation of evey one is only by his work

a best example for that Muslims dont kill chistians or jews that during the Nazi era in the time jews were burned ,they were put in places of minsters and they were free to do business as long as they want and they only decided to leave egypt untill there was theats that germany will enter the arab world and will kill jewish ppl there

and so wre christians besides there are already christian minsters heads of business in arab world ........

A definitely good question. And you should consider these:
1. The Quran acknowledges that the Bible comes from God, but the Bible is silent about the Quran. In fact the Bible prohibits any addition / deduction from it.

2. The bible was written in a span of more than 1,000 years. It has proven itself to be truly God's words. Here are some proofs:
(a) It's writers--more or less 40 men--writing in different time period proved consistent w/ each other. ( Some claim of contradictions, but even human courts would agree that these superficial contradictions are in fact proof of it's truthfullness. Go ask a lawyer about this statement.)

(b) It is not a scientific book, but when it talks about science it is proven to be true,

(c) Many of the writers of the Bible stuck to what they have written, even to the point of dying for what they wrote.

(d) It contains hundreds, if not thousands, of prophecies that have been fulfilled & are continuing to be fulfilled.

(e) when a truly sincere persons--not the superficial leaders and members of Christendom--applies Biblical principles, their lives get better, and they find true happiness.

I am not a Muslim, but I have some understanding of these 3 great religions. Islam is the youngest of the religions and since all 3 began in the same region, they are culturally and historically bound. Christians acknowledge the importance/relevance of the Jewish holy scriptures, but not vice versa. This is because Judaism came before Christianity, just and Christianity and Judaism came before Islam. Regarding your question: are you taught to believe that Jesus is the divine son of God? I thought you were taught that he was a prophet like Moses or Elijah.

Muslims accept the Bible as the Word of God just as Christians accept the Books of the Old Testament as the Word of God. For each prophesies the coming of the next and to deny or degrade the other Books would deny in part the proofs that support the station of the Quran as the next relevation from God.

It is also stated in each of the Books that the one that will come next will be denied and persecuted - so it is sad but not surprising that the belief is not reciprocated.

Easy, because there are a lot of Prophets Allah sent before our last Prophet Muhammad. Al-Quran is the completed version of Bible and the other two holy books(for lack of better word). They're all from Allah. So, we are taught to believe in Bible(as in believe that the real Bible is from Allah, not the Bible we have now) since it is one of the four holy books Allah sent to us. They don't believe in al-Quran not because their God says so but because they're ignorant and too proud to accept the truth. That's why the Bible version now cannot be trusted anymore since these proud people have changed the content of the real Bible. We are taught about the truth. So not believing in Bible is the same like denying that Allah had sent us Jesus and the other Prophets and all His other creations and teachings.

This is part of our belief that we have to belief in all the previous scriptures including all the previous Prophets Peace Be Upon Them All without making any distinction.

There is a verse in Sura Baqra where God says that he never let His message forgotten or abrogate instead replaces the message with the better one and advise us to look into the previous scriptures where we still can find God's signs.

Its not the human teachings its the commands of God which we have to follow.
