My question is why is it we could try and convince you (that's you in general, not anyone specifically) that a tree has leaves on it only if you're looking at it and you'd gladly debate the subject all day long. But try and have a discussion about "religion" and all a 'yall want to get up in arms. Do you all feel that way if someone tried to get you to believe in Buddah or Muhammad or Krishan? Hmmm?

I held on to this ring for a long time... and my morals are still inside my heart eventhough I haven't gone to church. "true love waits" Its a white gold ring given to a teen. And kept until you fine the right person. Many years later I find myself still wearing this ring... and part of me thinks it really kepts guys away. I'm not waiting until I'm married. I want to tell them that... I'm just waiting for my true love. Is that alright? Can people still wait... and know for sure the other loves them back?... or is it more of a game now and love happens not to be part of it. "True love waits" ....its been 7 years since I was given this ring in church.. others in the group who got the ring are gone now. or...just stopped wearing it. But... part of me still needs it on. Tell me...does true love really wait anymore?

Please don't answer "in your heart" as it's silly. I've seen ex-rays and God is not in my body and I don't think he is in yours. A spirit would be routed out by your body's defense anyway. Only concrete forms or enities could build stars, planets ect.

On my travels around the globe I have had the pleasure of attending local services of almost all relgions on the planet, but the only ones who pass around a plate afterwards were the Christian Churches. Why is the father of just Jesus so bad with his money?

I've totally enjoyed reading St. John of the Cross and he has a great book called, "The Dark Night of the Soul". Which I highly recommend to anyone interested in spiritulaity (not just Christians)

But wait, you say... You're a Pagan!!! What are you reading Christian literature for?

I'm weird okay. Deal with it.

Anyway...

The phrase Dark Night of the Soul gets tossed around a fair amount so... What does it mean to you? Is it a bad thing? Is it a good thing? What comes of it?

My girlfriend and her family are strict Catholics, and I am insisting that she have the traditional Catholic/Christian wedding that her god approves of, and that frankly she has always dreamed about.

But her parents and her are strong believers that marriage should be a compromise and that we should have a split ceremony, first a traditional Catholic one, then a ceremony traditional to my religion where we make small incisions on our wrists and let our blood mix together in two chalices. The first of which we burn as a sacrafice to Dortoh the pagan god of marriage as the participants chant in greek thanking Dortoh for bring us together, the second of which we burn as an offering of our combined love to satan.

What's the best way to have this split ceremony, and where should we have it?

I am tired of seeing "you have been reported" after someone says something that is funny.
they are lost souls i dont believe in god, i think if he is real he spends a lot of time j***ing off, cause he's ttoo busy to do anything for us. anyway now you have something to pray for. good luck

John 3:16 is probably the most popular, most memorized, and most quoted verse in the Bible, but really - what does it say or mean? (For God so loved the World that he gave his only begotten Son...)

1. The verse says that God "GAVE" his son to the World. Well, Jesus was only here for 33 years - just a drop in the infinite sea of time. God Knew Jesus would come back to heaven and they were in constant contact via prayer. Was this supposed to be an emotionally challenging time apart for God/Jesus?

2. What does the word "Begotten" mean anyway?

3. The verse also refers to Jesus as God's "ONLY" son. Well, being God he can presumably have as many sons as he wants. As a Father if I let my son drive my ONLY car that would be one thing, but if I had 10 and could buy 100 more if I wanted, the gesture wouldn't mean as much.

Anyway, millions of people die horrible deaths and most live on Earth for more than 33 years. Why is it such a big gift or sacrafice that Jesus did it?

Ancient Jews, Christians, and Muslims all used marijuana religiously when they worshipped, and the bible supposedly says that it was given to man for use with all ailments, and was translated wrong originally. (Not going to look up which word, verse, etc. - its a waste of time.) But as a whole, it does way more good than it does negative, especially if used religiously or in moderation. What do you all think. And I'm not talking about what Jesus, Moses, or Abraham would say.

The Balaam Network (TBN) has really been raking in the cash lately. With The Omega Code movie in the top ten of money making movies (thanks to discerning Christians everywhere) and their regular Praise-A-Thon, they are rolling in dough. So much so that they can now afford to beam utter heresy, like what you are about to read, to all of China. I have been watching their fund raising antics the last three nights. I never thought they could top John Avanzini's "Jesus and the disciples were rich", "one hundred fold return" and "the widow's mite" (she "wonted" something) ploys, but R.W. Shambach has just hit a new low. This e-mail confirmed what viewers heard Shambach say the other night raising funds for TBN. He has been on solidly for the last three days.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time: Wed, 03-Nov-1999 16:50:58 GMT

I flipped over to the Praise-A-Thon last night and R.W. Shambach prophesied that if people make the 2000 dollar faith pledge to TBN, not only will God give them the 2000 dollars before the year 2000 but he will also make them totally debt free AND their WHOLE family will be saved before the year 2000. I just felt sick. I can only imagine all the people saying, "Wow, this is the answer I've been waiting for!" and sending in money they probably need for their own family to survive. I don't know but it seems these false prophets are getting bolder and bolder!

R.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And this just in 11/8/99 in response to this article:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear (DITC):

I was just reading some of the new installments on your website. I read the one "Salvation sold for a donation to TBN." (My husband) and I have caught that program the past two nights (we've only been able to stomach a few minutes of it), but that is exactly what he is claiming. If people give him "$2,000 before the year 2000 they will have all their debts cancelled (and people are e-mailing in to him that they owe amounts like $150,000, etc.) and all their family and relatives will be saved." I was appalled. What in the world is he going to tell all these people when Jan. 1st hits? He even told people if they don't have the money (which most don't because they're in debt) to take out a loan or borrow the tithe on the $2000 and give him $200 to start with. It is just shocking. He said everything he said (last night) was "annointed" and was a prophetic message directly from God. What gall! It really made me sick, and everytime I heard the audience clap and cheer, I wondered, who are these people? Do they have brains? What are they thinking? I just can't fathom it. It is all so demonic and deceptive.

Anyway, I'm glad you put that on your website.

A.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do these new "prophets" and "apostles" really believe they can confer salvation on people by virtue of how much they donate to TBN? Does this or does this not smell like Catholic "indulgences"? Only this is worse. Surely R.W. doesn't mean they will be saved from debt, as he is calling them to give a gift most people can ill afford (especially after they spent their hard earned money on tickets to go see The Omega Code). Is salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone ... or not? I guess all Christians need to rethink their definition of salvation now, just like Jack Deere did a number of years ago. That's got me wondering ... did Jack ever find out what the gospel was after all? It has been a number of years since he told an interviewer that he no longer understood what the gospel meant but would in five or ten years. Perhaps Shambach has just answered his questions for him.

And that answer is ... to be saved just send in (via cash, personal check, money order, Visa or Mastercard) only $2000. That's right, for a low, low $2000. you and your whole family can be debt free and enjoy the benefits of salvation before the year 2000. All this without ever having to go through a messy, tearful admission that you are a sinner, and without even having to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Just put your faith in your faith and in TBN. They'll do all the work for you. They'll interpret the Bible for you, pray for you, have faith for you, speak God's Word to you directly (actually, no need to interpret Scripture at all anymore, come to think of it!) and spread the gospel for you.

No muss, no fuss. Now wasn't that easy?
