Ancient Jews, Christians, and Muslims all used marijuana religiously when they worshipped, and the bible supposedly says that it was given to man for use with all ailments, and was translated wrong originally. (Not going to look up which word, verse, etc. - its a waste of time.) But as a whole, it does way more good than it does negative, especially if used religiously or in moderation. What do you all think. And I'm not talking about what Jesus, Moses, or Abraham would say.

I don't believe that the creator deems anything "good" or "bad" because these are moralistic judgments created by humans. God does not judge period. God is simply the energy of pure unconditional love.

YOu can prove that thesis? I mean there are writings or archological proofs that Jews, Christiand and Mulims in 3AD got stoned?

That's a strong assertion, be ready with your citiations.

God, however, created all life, include pot and gave many dominion over it all, save the Tree of Knoweldge of Good, which we ate of and then got kept away from the Tree of Life, least we be like Gods and live forever.

What man does with the Earth is mostly Free Will. And he's done a splendid job to this point. Put Smog everywhere, dug into the ground and taken things out by the carload. Burns up the oxygen with his cars and factories, cuts down the rainforrest, kills the planton in the sea (both of which make new oxygen) and drives food species into extinction. Pretty soon we'll HAVE to learn to like cooked Dog and Cat, it's plentiful and fish are vanishing, who knows if the Cow will go the way of hte Bison!

MAn. Free Will. Good. Evil. Right. Wrong.

Chose wisely!

God is watching.

There is a book of life.

All you do is in there.

Do the right thing!

Everything he or she created is here for a reason. I know for a fact that not a single animal lives off of this plant. They do however eat it for different reasons, being a tummy ache or a toothache or to deal with some kind of pain. That being said I do believe that he or she did put it here as a natural form of pain relief. For us as well as them. Did you know that when George Washington was president the people paid taxes with marijuana, and when a woman was giving birth they gave her hash? Also that's where the term "legal tender" came from. So.... good? Yes also acceptable. So smoke on!!!

Mainstream Judaism and Christianity have never espoused use of drugs in religious ritual in quantities sufficient to intoxicate.
Undoubtedly the Creator deems marijuana good, just as He deems jimson weed and deadly nightshade good. But that doesn't mean that every use you can put it to is going to be good. A tree is good, but if I cut off a branch and start bashing babies in the head with it, that's not good, is it?

It's not the item; it's what you do with it.

And your source for your first statement is...? LOL, that's ludicrous. You have no evidence to back up your thesis statement so the rest of your "logic" is bogus as well. God created all things that He made at the time "good". However, sin has corrupted much of what the earth was meant to be. For instance, do you really think God thought blood-sucking mosquitos that spread disease were "good"? Man is really good at taking God's "good" things in the world and corrupting them. Obviously, your brain cells have been corrupted by marijuana and you will do whatever you can to try to justify your abuse of it. I don't think God is convinced by your attempt.

Good is in the eye of the ruling establishment. All nature is either good or bad depending upon your perspective. Medicines that work are often taken off the market as disease is a money maker.

The Bible teaches moderation. I believe marijuana has its uses. The only issue I have with it (I used to smoke, CONSTANTLY) is that mankind tends to abuse even the best of things. Look what's been done to sex.

Marijuana is only illegal in this country b ecause the cotton growers didn't want the hemp competition. Does God "think" it's good? He made it, didn't He? Can we use it for good? Hell, yes, Is it ok if we intoxicate ourselves? Hell yes, if we do it responsibly' Did God give us all herbs and weeds and grasses for our benefit? Of course. I don't like the high any longer, but for those of you who do, keep on tokin'--and DON'T DRIVE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE!

Though the fundamentalists hate it, the Bible says it is ok.

"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." (Genesis 1:29).

Basically, it says God made every seed to be used for mankind.
