I've seen many comments on Yahoo about atheists and it made me wonder where people got the information they used to form their opinions.

I'm not asking about your opinions, I'm asking where you got the information you used to form those opinions, e.g., personal experience, friends, family, preachers, teachers, et al.

Thanks for your answers.

I am an atheist.

What do you believe about the dinosaurs and other extinct species? Were humans alive the same time as dinosaurs as Genesis seems to suggest. How do you explain fossils of species that no longer exist, but are similar to species alive today. How do you explain that Genesis contains two versions of creation that seem to contradict each other at times?

Feel free to state whatever your belief or philosophy is.

God has aspects. Externally God seems like simply the Almighty, but internally God is all Good, All Sweet. What are your thoughts and opinion on this?

What are your thoughts on this? Is it a heresy? Or does it make sense?

Like Jesus said in Mathew 10:14, 15 of an entire city or house: "[Speaking to His Disciples] Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet. Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgement than for that city."

Why did he make some people naturally pretty/good looking and others naturally ugly? I know it could be to teach us it's what's on the inside that counts, but some ugly people are mean as well.

In their attempt to polish Islam's image, Muslim activists usually quote the Meccan passages of the Quran that call for love, peace and patience. They deliberately hide the Medenan passages that call for killing, decapitating, and maiming.

Muslim activists also fail to reveal to people in the West a major doctrine in Islam called "al-Nasikh wal-Mansoukh" (the Abrogator and the Abrogated). This simply means that when a recent verse in the Quran gives a contradictory view to another verse that preceded it (chronologically), the recent verse abrogates (cancels and replaces) the old verse and renders it null and void.

This doctrine is based on the Quran, where Allah allegedly says in Surah 2:106, "None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?" Also, in Surah 16:101 "When We substitute one revelation for another, and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),

And does that then make someone a murderer? Not asking about Suicide being a sin, but IF someone, a terminal cancer patient, no hope for survival, suffering in pain wants to die peacefully, and can not do this on their own, would Christians support this? And in terms, does that make the person that assisted a murderer?

Just a question, no harping please. I have my own idea of it, I am a christian, just wondering what others will say about it.

It seems to me that people often assume that because they THINK they are right then everyone else must be wrong and so hence silly or just plain wrong.Even I have done this a few times.Ok, maybe a lot.But only because I wanted to show certain people what they sound like but using my religion instead.

It seems to me that everyone is right. If it makes you happy and gives you purpose and answers your unanswer-able questions, then it is right-For you.But does that make everyone else who doesn't believe as you silly?Or wrong?I am interested in knowing how you feel about this and how you would feel if you were the victim of being called silly or wrong.

Also, Do you think the religion at this link is silly?

If you do then perhaps you might then wonder if your views are equally seen this way by someone else.Everyone see's things differently.

(Also note that if you don't know the question then you did not read it.It was the first line)

It is through corruption: Some local police, county sheriff's office, county commissioner, county attorney, a judge or two, and a bought-off US attorney of the DOJ. But for a civil suit, they almost got one of themselves elected governor.

Ironically, Kansas has a very good law: 5,000 signatures will seat a Grand Jury. However, it needs to be sequestered, because these people are extremely dangerous and will assault and/or kill informants and opponents. I've experienced this first-hand.

Please don't comment about Bush and the war. This is more important, because it is in the domestic homeland.

In Acts 8:38 and 39 it teaches that both the baptized and the baptizer went down into the water and came up out of the water. So if this passage is teaching immersion (as Baptist and others teach) then those who believe in immersion are doing it all wrong. Both the preacher and the one being baptized by the preacher should go under the water.

"A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast..."
The word translated into English Bibles as "life" in this verse is in the original Hebrew "nephesh", which literally means soul.
"A righteous man regardeth the nephesh (soul) of his beast..."
I've seen a lot of answers saying animals don't have souls and i'm wondering if anyone has ever noticed the Bible's answer to this question, beyond the descriptions of animals in Heaven - lion laying down with the lamb, etc., and the fact that in the Garden, God told Adam and Eve to "take care of the earth and the animals."
Didn't there have to be a reason for this? Do you see a bigger picture going on, or do you think animals are just learning props for humanity's journey?
