I drive school bus and in the summers i drive for special ed summer school... i get so sad inside when i see all these messed up children and find myself questioning why God allowed this.... but I have to remember that God has a reason for everything even if I dont always know what it is.. I came to the conclusion that with these children that maybe its God teaching me humility and that its not always about me...... it could be the same with naturally ugly people... sometimes when we see something so sad or outta place it makes us look around us and see that maybe we dont have things as bad as what we thought we did.

It all depends how you look at it. Yes, beauty will get a person a little farther because of their looks but then
what really counts in this life?
This is just a stopping place for Eternity. What we do with our lives here on earth will determine our eternal resting place. So, how many gorgeous women do you see serving the Lord compared to the "plain Janes"?
Not always, but the majority of the time, the beautiful women have it harder to serve Him.
They can't seem to give up so many worldly things
because they are like little beacons that attract...
And they don't always attract the good.
In this life, in the spiritual aspect of looking at things, one is better off more plain than beautiful.
At least when one is plain one knows that they are loved foir their personality and heart while oftentimes the beautiful ones are loved for their beauty alone, and when that fades....the "love" fades.
So, sometimes beauty can be a curse.
Actually, I have met some women that are so sweet and lovely in their manner that they just shine within with real beauty...while many "beautiful" ones are seemingly shallow.
Of course, there are exceptions to every rule but
God looks to the heart and not the outwardly appearance.
Sooner or later, true inward beauty shines out and is recognized for its real worth.
The Bible says that Jesus was not an attractive man.
But His lovely spirit and manners were what attracted many to Him.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
In this nation especially, a certain kind of "beauty" is
broadcast all over the media and it's a lie.
Take off all that make-up and see what's beneath all
those "beauties"
So, God made all kinds of people. Of course, we must remember that people with certain genes marry each other and that also determines certain physical aspects of our being.
But the heart is what counts.

The world has defined what is ugly and what is beautiful. The media really does a good job of convincing the world what they consider beautiful and people seem to agree with it. In God's eyes everyone is beautiful. There are mean people regardless of what they look like....

A lesson can only be taught if we all experience it. It is unjust to make some suffer while others are in bliss for no apparent reason.
Some people are beautiful and some people are ugly because of genetics, and that is it. God has nothing to do with it.

Think about this-------------maybe the UGLY people (whatever YOUR classification of ugly is) are really the MOST beautiful to God......and the really pretty/good looking ones...........are the UGLY ones!
Whenever you see someone with a BIG nose or big BUCK teeth----I always think that God looks at those as very endearing qualities!

He didn't make anyone look the way they look. A combination of genetics, intrauterine environment, and post-natal environment (including nutrition as one of the most important environmental factors) goes into what people look like.
Ever notice how people who smoke get wrinkles and bad yellow teeth? God didn't make them that way, they did. Something like one's bone structure is inherited, as you can see certain families or even whole races of people have characteristic facial features and bone structures in common.
A combination of proportion and symmetry is what makes people beautiful. Proportion is largely inherited, and symmetry is largely affected by the intrauterine environment as your are developing in the womb. If development goes perfectly, you'll be perfectly symmetrical. Asymmetry is a sign that some things were not just right during development. This is the same for animals as it is for humans. Symmetry and proper proportions implies superiority.
Some women with symmetrical and well-proportioned faces: Halle Berry, Marilyn Monroe, and Elizabeth Taylor.

Ultimately your question is not toward the nature of God but of His creation. In that line you are asking if beauty is inherent or "is beauty in the eye of the beholder" This is a question that seems to only find satisfaction if the response is agreed upon by the reader or questioner in this matter. So basically you have to answer your own question and the question is... What is beauty?

WE created ''pretty'' and ''ugly'' he sees us as people who are all the same regardless of looks. Now, why society created the words and definitions, I dont know. But remember, pretty and ugly mean different things to different people whats pretty to some may be ugly to others and vise versa so there is no such thing as something being officalially pretty or offically ugly. :)

Ugliness and prettiness is strictly a human characteristic and is very relative... what one person thinks is ugly someone else may think is pretty...
Besides... God doesn't view people in terms of their physical appearance... so there is no answer for your question... according to God everyone he made is pretty...
Ugly people may be mean because they misunderstand this topic just like it seems you do... enlightening them may help them be less mean...

and some pretty people are mean to. In the bible there is a story i think in luke that tells about a master leaving his servants while going away, he gives one servant 5 dollars, another servant 2 dollars, and the other 1 dollar. the servant with 5,and 2, double there money and get rewarded while the servant with 1 keeps his in a safe place and gets punished and called a fool for it. God gives us the stuff that we need and its up to us to determine what to do with what we got.
