Are always trying to convert me, they love me and I love them but we just don’t see eye to eye on the religious debate. Ironically we are word for word on politics though… SO they took me to a local bar * gasp * to see a pastor named Rob Bell, he was very charismatic and actually very entertaining. What I thought was interesting and actually liked was he was critical of religion’s emphasis on doctrinal distinctions and really emphasized spirituality as the path one must seek. So let’s say we take the Church out of all our discussions about God would that change our debate?

I feel wrong. I feel like I try and let Jesus into my life. And I'm trying hard to lead myself away from temptation. And when I slip, I repent and ask God for forgiveness. And I really mean it. I've asked him into my life. And I'm seeing a shift,But I'm just so afraid of Jesus telling me to depart when I get to heaven. I have this constant anxiety every day. And It's killing me inside.

So I'm not big on religion and I'm reading this book that mentions both Moses and Abraham and their relationship to the 10 Commandments. I'm confsed on who actually recieved the Commanments and how they effected each persons life. Could someone clarify the stories for me preferably in simple terms? Thanks.

The phrase in God we trust has been on our currency since 1800’s when a surge of religiosity after the Civil War. It seems in times of fear and insecurity give rise to a kind of exaggerated nationalism, hhmmmm sounds familiar. In the 1900’s when Theodore Roosevelt wanted it deleted because he felt it’s use was dangerously close to sacrilege, fast forward to the 1970’s when the 9th circuit court ruled it had nothing to do with the establishment of religion thus remaining our currencies motto. Governments and schools are still hesitant to display the motto because…well you know why. Ironically our founding fathers; the ones who established the separation of church and state, preferred the motto e plubribus unum (out of many one) as they were deists. Ironically the debate that is currently raging is not between atheists (we choose to sit this one out) but among religious sects who read a different meaning – and contention- with the words., it is divisive because of the increased diversity in religious movements it seems that this simple statement is quite complex and controversial. So what do you think?

Willys cynical thought for the day;

I once ate a lot of natural foods then learned that most people die of natural freaking causes!

Seven wise men with knowledge so fine,
Created a pu$sy to design!
First was a butcher smart with wit,
By using a knife he gave it a slit!
Second was a carpenter strong and bold,
By using a hammer and chisel he gave it a hole!
Third was a tailor tall and thin,
By using a piece of red velvet he lined it within!

Fourth was a hunter short and stout,
With a piece of fox fur he lined it without!
Fifth was a fisherman nasty as hell,
Threw in a fish and gave it a smell!
Sixth was a preacher whose name was McGee,
Touched it and blessed it and said it could pee!
Last came a sailor dirty little runt,
He sucked it and f@cked it and called it C@nt!

Who are the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men?" --verse 2, and who are the Nephilim --verse 4?

The reason I ask....

I have heard opinions that aliens are fallen angels (demons). I have also heard of stories where folks say they were sexually abused by aliens. I believe SOME of these folks believe what they experienced--they seem quite frightened. If the sons of God were fallen angels, and they mated with human women, to create a new race, as Gen. 6 suggests (in some opinions) then could this be happening again? Jesus said that it would be like the days of Noah when He returned. Could this be what He meant? We hear of aliens doing terrible things, but could they really be demons (fallen angels)? What are your thoughts? I had a bible study for more than a year and we did study the bible in its entirety, but always re-visited Gen, chapter 6.
