And don't tell me it's just christians, I've seen many answers from 'open-minded' people spreading hate and judging a person's most intimate beliefs as inadequate, simply for not agreeing with them. Why so much hate?

Why are dinosaurs, discovery of fire, and the invention of the wheel not mention in the Bible. How could you forget to mention a huge reptile as dinosaurs, discovery of fire which we still use today, and one of the greatest inventions of all times, the wheel?

Because you should be. God has a plan for everyone right? So if a woman chooses to get an abortion its all part of God's plan that the abortion happens. Therefore, why get mad that God chose to have a child aborted. Who are you to judge him and his will? All Christians should be pro-choice if you trust in God and his decisions.

Do you feel like you are being judged on this board without anyone having any knowledge of you? I have seen countless Christians on this board answering questions with tolerance and love, and MANY posts by non-christians saying that all Christians are mean, and forceful, and hypocritical. If people really want to know about something, and they are reading posts answered with tolerance and love, why cant they atleast cut it down to some Christians, and not all, as many here have proved to be an example that not all of us are forceful rude, or trying to convert non-believers?
Dont let a few bad appleas ruin the bunch. I'm so tired of being lumped in with the hard core religious right. Why cant non-believers just admit they only have knowledge of what SOME christians are like and stop generalizing?

On the other hand, as some Christians do, why cant they stop telling non-believers they are hopless, and lost, and confused? Thats not going to prove anything to anyone.

For atheists, what factors do you use to determine right from wrong: 1) personal conscience 2) local laws 3) consequences

As you answer, please explain why your choice is reliable, and how you evaluate its reliability (ex. how do you know if your personal conscience is reliable or not?)

This is our Internet, and we should exercise our position as its owners and as the guardians of civilization to stop its misuse."

i have never met a buddhist or hindu who gets angry when their religions are criticized. but why do christians, and specifically muslims get very angry when their religions (specially islam) is been criticized?

Christians
Do not force your hand on others in the sake of your beliefs.
For God does not force his word, He only gives it if you want it.
A Athiest is one who is hopeless, and must learn the hard way.
The ones who are Lost or in between you must approuch them with Love and kindness and you must have the nobility of a eagle.
Do not critisize the unbeliever for if you do you are as bad as they.
Love all Mankind believer or not. as God loves all no matter what, Even if one sins God only hates the Sin but never the Man.
Remember that. otherwise you will draw many away from your words of belief.

If the Judeo-Christian faith teaches us that God loves us unconditionally, and wants us to do the same, why do people usually look down on others for their choice of faith that differs from their own? Its almost like a competition, rather than a beautiful way to become closer to God.

You know how in the bible it says to forgive someone 7 times 70? Well, I just put that into the calculator and it came up as 490. Is that possible? That we actually only have to forgive someone 490 times? Like what if they keep doing things to you, and you have forgiven them exactly 490 times? what about the 491 time? I am not arguing the bible. I only want you to either correct me, or give me your interpretation of this. Thanks.
