Do you feel like you are being judged on this board without anyone having any knowledge of you? I have seen countless Christians on this board answering questions with tolerance and love, and MANY posts by non-christians saying that all Christians are mean, and forceful, and hypocritical. If people really want to know about something, and they are reading posts answered with tolerance and love, why cant they atleast cut it down to some Christians, and not all, as many here have proved to be an example that not all of us are forceful rude, or trying to convert non-believers?
Dont let a few bad appleas ruin the bunch. I'm so tired of being lumped in with the hard core religious right. Why cant non-believers just admit they only have knowledge of what SOME christians are like and stop generalizing?

On the other hand, as some Christians do, why cant they stop telling non-believers they are hopless, and lost, and confused? Thats not going to prove anything to anyone.

Actually, it's worth it.

I divide this section into two different categories. The good people and the bad people. Both good and bad people come from both sides. Christians/Muslims as well as Atheists.

The good people wanna spread love, the bad people wanna spread hatred.

The good people can see right through all the silly insults and judgemental opinions. The bad people can't see that, and they continue spreading hatred.

If the good people just step over the insults, and continue spreading the message of Love, then in the end we (the good people) will always win. Even if we convert one person from the bad to the good side, then our visit to this forum was succesfull.

Trust me, we really are bigger than a few insults :)

Tired or not, judging is part of human nature. So I'm not going to lose any sleep over the thought of someone judging me. If a person wants to spend that much time and energy on me, it's their call. I have better things to put my own time and efforts into.

What humans do here can be called "Judging" but the only one who can truly "judge" me is Christ. i don't care what people on Yahoo may think of me. My duty as a Christian is to live a good life and minister to others.

Most "non-believers" are that way either out of fear or ignorance. they fear that Christian are right and they are doing nothing to better their lives or the lives of others, they are selfish and only out for them selves. Others just don't know, these people can be taught, I was one of them.

Some Christians think that they can Judge people for how they believe, that is not correct and they will face the Lord in thier time and he will correct them. My duty is not to judge, but to educate as best as I can.

Go in peace people, no matte what you believe, do good and good will be done to you.

God Bless---

I Feel Christians are so defensive because they are a bit unsure of what they are preaching. Truth needs no defense. It stands up quite well on its own. What is untrue can not stand on its own and needs to be vigorously defended. Parts of the Christian teaching are obviously true. That is, all teachings about the value of unconditional love to set our lives straight.

Parts seem unlikely or even illogical. Like an unconditionally loving God who judges and has many conditions that must be met for his acceptance. Its either unconditional or it isn’t. It can’t be both. I am betting all my chips on the unconditionally loving God not his sill made up alter ego with all the conditions. He sounds more like the fantasy of some control junkie.

I couldn't care less if someone else "judges" me.....it doesn't make any difference at all. The only judgement I'm interested in is God's. It doesn't matter what other people think about me. If they are judging me, then they are leaving someone esle alone for the time being. So I continue to do "my thing" and let them do theirs.

I think this goes from both sides. There are rude christians and rude non-christians. People just need to learn to ignore the people who can't let other others live their lives how they see fit.

Judged and threatened, the religious zealots are aggressive and relentless and the political agenda they have to impose their religious tenets upon the rest of us through legislation is really not right...it will require a backlash from those who believe democracy is superior to the tyranny of theocracy.
