I'd just like to point out that that's total crap.

Many people in third world countries - especially those in Africa - die of things like starvation because their country simply does not have the natural resources to support them. So people die out to the level that the land around them will support them. When an organization like a Christian charity goes in and feeds them all, what they are doing is creating a situation where the additional surviving people will have to be taken care of forever. After all, the natural resources haven't increased, but the population has due to the intervention by these groups. Which means that you will have to take care of these people forever; otherwise, when the support ends there will be a massive wave of deaths from disease and hunger. Far more deaths than there would have been if you had left them alone to begin with. And often you can't continue the support indefinitely due to hostile governments or rebel groups popping up and making it way too dangerous to keep the supply lines running.
And then there's this one other nagging point: there are millions of starving and desperate people in the United States. Why must we look abroad to find those in need? Christian charities are fine where the intent is concerned, but their execution (pun intended) often leaves much to be desired.

The biggest organisations that do charity projects in Africa are Unicef, Oxfam, Doctors without Frontiers. Those are all not based on religious grounds.
The hypocrisy in Christian help in Africa is thar the missionaries combine bibles with help. That's a horrible way to help starving people.
I'm not saying that all christians do it in a bad way, i'm also not saying that the above named organisations only do good things....i'm just saying that your basic assumption is wrong.
Holland and Sweden are worldwide the biggest donators per capita on charity projects throughout the world. It would be safe to assume that these two countries are by far not christian nations.

Yes, a lot of Christian Ministeries donate time and millions of dollars to 3rs world countries, but so do other orginazations. Christians don't do it alone. Big corporatios donate food and medical supplies as well.
As well as time and money we also spread the word of God and our Lord Jesus Christ. So, as some would think there is another motive, but does it really matter what the motive if we are doing good?
I tithe a portion of my income to my church and to the Ministries that we help support all around the world, even here in the States.
Even when I was not working and on unemployment, I still tithed. The world needs help and we can't rely on our Government or any other countries government to help so Christians take it upon themselves to do so.

I was reading about a guy that invented a process to enrich soil so that more food could be grown. He's one of the reasons that 7 billion people can live on earth. Later he invented zyklon-b gas at Hitler's request to be used to be used in German concentration camps.
An interesting lesson on the ability of a person or group to do both harm and good.

No, you're absolutely wrong. Many other people give to charity and have charitable functions. It doesn't make Christianity right.
Without all charity many children would die, not just christian charities.

The world tries to emulate the Christian's ability to reach out to hurting people, but , well over 70% of that money gets ate up in "administrative cost"!

Atheists are on top when it comes to help!
When christian help it is a tool in disguise to convert.
In India, more than 80% tribals were converted by giving them food, medicines and schools, Vatican has a special fund for Indian tribals, for conversion

QT sums it up the best: "When Christians help it is a tool in disguise to convert."
It is true that missionaries taste like chicken.
