In the hope this will not bore you, let me tell you about me.
Having had 8 heart attacks and been cliically dead twice I can tell you from experience that 'something' occurs after we die. My last two heart attacks occured on the operating table and I can vividly recall the first time I realised I was dying.
I didn't meet Chalton Heston or travel down a tunnel toward a white light. What did happen is too hard to explain. I remember being in a place where I felt relaxed and comfortable
I knew as if somebody had told me that I was going back. I was also made aware 'that life is not a rehearsal, get on and live it'.
And one other thing 'there are no pockets in shrouds'.
I don't remember the second occurance but I came back alright.
The bit about going back and about not being a rehearsal explain themselves. The bit about the shroud is simple - a shroud is what you're buried in and has no pockets in it cos you can't take anything with you.
That was in 2002, my wife and I adapted our life style, lived for the pleasure it gave us and do all that we want to.
A week ago I had to have a heart test following on from some chest pains I have been having. I've now been told that I have five years or less to live. My wife and I are a little sad but accept that there is nothing to be done. We will continue our path as long as possible and adapt when we have to.
And before anybody asks. no we're not religious, we dont go to church but we belive in God and the hereafter.

I can trump you all. Most near death experiences are recorded by the religious as proof that a god exists, however, if ketamine is injected into a normal person they can experience the exact same "experiences" as one who has come near death. Look it up. It is far more likely that chemicals that the brain releases when shutting down causes these "experiences".

Dr Raymond Moody has several good factual books on the subject and is written from a more scientific than religious point of view , although after reading the books its very hard not to believe in a God and an afterlife :o)

i've kind of had about 4, but nothing ever happened i.e. i was never injured but it was really scary...
i was learning to swim and let go of the board too early and missed the pipe (those things they divide the lanes with) and went under, luckily i managed to get back up or someone helped me, but it was really scary
another time i was driving along the road in the winter and had two kids in the back, i saw this van coming up to the side street i was about to pass and kept driving since i had right of way and all of a sudden the driver just drove out in front of me and i had to swerve onto the snow, anything could have happened then! he never even bothered looking and when i shouted at him he just said oh i didn't see you coming
the second car incident was me driving along a busy main road (dual carriageway) and driving through the traffic lights all of a sudden this idiot (his traffic lights were red) came zooming from the other side of the road and turned right (talking about germany here - so i was driving on the left) if i hadn't breaked (broke?) on time who knows! i don't even want to think about what could have happened but i spent the rest of the half hour journey shaking like a leaf
yes, car again, my friend was driving along and stopped at the main road and this other car on the main road stopped to let us across, so we went and all of a sudden this car came out of the middle of nowhere, i shouted stop and my friend stopped just in time, the other driver breaked (broke?) in time too, we just drove on and she came behind us flashing her lights at us until we stoppped and started shouting at us in german so we just answered in english, saying we didn't understand her! even though i knew what she was saying, i'll get the police...
all 4 experiences really shook me up, but thankfully nothing ever happened those days, so i don't think they really count as near death experiences eh? i'm sure others have had worse!

Twenty-five years ago I was swimming with a group of kids, learning how to swim. I closed my eyes to concentrate on my stroke, and opened them to find myself sinking to the bottom of the pool in ten feet of water. I don't remember the life guard pulling me out, but I survived.

May i speak on behalf my sis experience,:
she went for swimming in waterfall. they were 6 of them. she was drown while trying to save the other 5 girls were drowning,. .
her experience was: everything went slow, like a slow moving video, she saw them clapping struggling to reach the surface, each were dragging the others shoulder,
She swallow too much water, and was tired of swimming, so she let go one of the girl's hand.. and let herself floating, until she touch a big rock, and drag herself to the shore. she fainted for while, vomit herself.. and look out for them but cant find them. they were drown, five of them,.
that was a scary experience, to almost drown yourself to death, and to watch your love ones struggling for breath.
+appreciate your love one, you'll never expect the unexpected+

close to lack of existence studies easily ensue, the priority is even if the religious visions regularly linked with them are extremely religious visions or hallucinations. The connected hyperlink is loosely proper, it really is about the courting between religious visions and temporal lobe epilepsy.
