The way I see it:
Anybody who espouses Christianity is PRO-CHOICE.

Actually you should be against abortion if you trust God. There is no reason in the world that a woman should be able to choose over God. No woman has more rights than God, and if the woman really trusted God do you think she would get an abortion. Abortion is murder and you can not call yourself a Christian if you condone murder. Read the Bible and read what Jesus taught before you say that abortion is God's will.

I am a Christian and I believe that where God has chosen silence he has given us common sense and the notion of killing an unwanted Child is not a choice, it's murder. Even laws in two states this past week decided that it was a crime to kill the unborn baby of a woman as a separate crime if you killed a pregnant woman. Doesn't sound like pro-choice in the legal system is holding up over the ages of time. What is really sad is when the lady who started the whole thing asked that it be repealed because she no longer wanted herself tied with something she had come to believe was totally wrong and she couldn't change it back to make it right. She stated it was a guilt she would have to carry to her death. I think God can handle population control without our interference. He managed it for a lot of years before we thought we knew better than Him.

I am a Christian, and I am the only Pro-Choice person in my circle of friends.
First of all...God has given us free will. He may "know" what is going to happen, but he does not control our actions. And while the Bible says that "all things work together for good for those that know the Lord"....it does not automatically mean that the idea of "sin" is extinguished.
We make our choices, we pay the price. If we are emotionally healthy, and weigh out our choices, we will hopefully make the right choice, in any circumstances. Saying everything is pre-ordained is giving up your own power and saying you are powerless to fate. I don't believe that. I believe all that we do, every decision we make alters our path.
I came to be a Pro-Choice person after supplimenting the religious teachings of my parents (granddaughter of a preacher here) with things that I learned as an adult. I went on a big search for "the truth" in my 30's and studied many different religions and spiritual teachings.

I think, in this case, this is beyond God's will. There is God's will and then there is when people make their own choices and I believe that this is when people make their own choices. You don't kill under God's will. God also had a will for that baby. So you should not be pro choice. You should be pro life. I am a christian and I am still on the fence about how I feel about abortion, but in God's eyes it is killing. So the answer is definitely pro life.

'Scuse me. Where'd you get the idea that humanity has no free will? You a Calvinist?
And to answer your original query:
I am Catholic and I am sorta pro-choice. Where I differ from most pro-choicers is in WHEN to make that choice. If you don't want to have a child, then CHOOSE NOT to GET pregnant in the first place. Pick a system and stick to it until you do want a child.
As for those relatively few women who are victimized by rape or incest and who actually DO get pregnant as a result, they can be dealt with on a case by case basis, with no blame attached to the female, whatever her choice. Though personally, I would hope that they choose to have the child and either keep it or allow it to be adopted. Still, if they choose to terminate such a pregnancy, I'll support their decision and leave their judgment to God.
For those whose health is too dicey to carry to term or for those whose pregnancy is tubal, again, in this day and age, that can be handled on a case by case basis and should be the doctor's best advice, agreed to by the woman.
Trouble is, I just can't get into the one-size-fits-all mindset when it comes to human beings, their needs, or their desires. And that mindset is what most pro-choicers AND most pro-lifers seem to espouse.

I'm a Christian and I'm pro-choice, but it isn't for that reason. Being female, I don't think it is alright for the government to tell any woman what she can and cannot do with her uterus. I do believe that God has a plan for everyone, but I don't know that He would ever want a fetus to be aborted. It's still a life. But I'm totally against the government telling women when it's okay for them to reproduce.

I am pro life. I believe that there are enough people in this world that would love to have a child and to have an abortion is like going out on the streets and killing someone.

Wow...that is a pretty wild statement. So, if it is God's will for the abortion to happen why would God will the woman to become pregnant in the first place??
Life is about choices. God can only do so much to lead you towards the right ones!

I am pro-life. From your statement, you must believe that everyone does God's will. Obviously they don't. People have free will to do as they wish, and unfortunately some people decide to abort pregnancies, lie, cheat, steal, murder, and a host of other things. These are not God's will. I believe that abortion is not part of God's plan.

I respect your opinion, but disagree. You could apply that theory to any situation. If a person chooses to murder and 8 year old, that was gods plan. So why get mad that God chose to have that person murdered? I am a christian, I am also however pro-life. Even though I do trust in God and his decisions, I feel that its wrong.
