With his back to the window, my father told me to look through the doorway towards the nurses station at the window. There was no window and as I looked closer, he was actually focused on the wall behind the nurses station. He mentioned how the rain was just beating down on the window. He was in such awe of the rain. I know he was hallucinating maybe and it was confusing even though he couldn't see outside to which was actually the dawn of a new day with clear skies.... two hours later... he passed away. He was 58, had diabetes, and had a quadruple bypass 5 days previous but had never had any problems before, not with his heart and not with the diabetes or for any other reason. His death was such a shock to us as we felt he was in the prime of his life. My father was a Seminole indian. I know there are indian beliefs about death but I really have no one to ask. Can anyone shed some light as to what the rain on the window might mean? Thank you.

I was wondering that has religion dont good for humans in general. I mean it tears humanity apart at the seams! We have had countless wars over the sake of bible related matereal. Look at the crusades during the medevil times, millions of people were killed during those times over relgions. Before that, romans killed others that didnt beleive in Christianity. Modern day wars are fought over it, World War II, when Hitler killed all the Jews, he killed them because he thought his religion was right, and that God had chosen that race to reign superior to others.

Moreover, the fact the families also have internal conflicts over which religion is the right one.

And, I think that the bible, has good advice on how to live. that it should be follwed, but not word for word like most religious people do. It should be a guide on how to live, not a linear path of how to act. Because it WAS written by humans, so it does contradict it self countless times, and that it is out of date.

this isn't a question as much a topic to discuss over. What do you think of religion as a source of power? I put it this way.

"The problem with religion is, at its source is power, to control that power priests must keep the masses undoubting, it is the truth, it is why I turned my back upon religion long ago."

This is my opinion, my best answer ill be the most elaborate and best supported question.

My question is, dont you guys think alcohol should be banned like so many islamic countries? How many life has been lost over the decades for alcohol alone and how many family broke down because of alcohol? How many fights and incidents we see everyday in newspapers due to alcohol, still nothing is happening.I mean there's already so many problems in life which we cant avoid but there are problems which we can stop. And problems related to alcohol can only be stopped by banning them like the muslim countries.I believe muslims are more smarter than us because they prohibited alcohol and gambling which are no doubt two diseases in the society which can be totally stopped. Now,u can say not everybody is effected by these 2 problems, not everyone gets drunk and gets their or others life screwed up,but what about the person who is drinking next to you,he might screw up your life. And you can argue that not everyone becomes poor by gambling but what about the person next to you,he might rob u 1 day

My friends of other religion are also advised by their pastors and ministers not to watch it. I personally watched the movie and was not bothered or doubted my belief when I watched it. It is purely a work of fiction and I think it did not meant to malign Jesus or the Christian faith. I loved the movie, and if ever that it is true, I would love to see that Jesus really has descendants.

How about you?

My finace' sister who is a little over 50, very sweet loving person, everyone can't help but love has been in a battle with stomach cancer for over a year now, and they are stopping the kemo, and giving her 3-6 months to live. Her mother died of the same thing when she was young, it is not fair to her beautiful daughter and granddaughter or 18 months. Plus I don't know if my finace' will be able to handle it. I am worried he will fall off the wagon, and that will be another tragedy. Please prove the power of prayer to help her get better. Her name is Brenda and we live in the USA . Pray with me now please. I believe in God, but do not attend church but once in a blue moon. I believe we have the power to do many great things. Thank you for your time.

I have read that somewhere there is a church that has a relic in a jewel encrusted reliquery that is supposed to be Jesus's foreskin from when he was circumcised on the 8th day after birth as per the Jewish religeous ritual (part of the covenant with YHWY). Does anyone know where this church is? Also is it normal Jewish practice to keep foreskins and if so why?

Now doesn't this make more sense: When God made Eve,he made her with 3 boobs. So one day, he asks her how she's doing, and she says "Great,I love it here, but these boobs are a bit awkard. How about just 2?"So God takes away the 3rd boob.A few weeks later, God checks up on Eve and she confesses to being lonely. So God thinks for a minute, then says "Okay,Eve.But I'll have to make him out of a part of you, because I used all the best stuff making you.Now where did I put that useless boob?"

When i was a kid, i remember there was a kid who was a Jehova's witness in my class. One day, he got mad because of test scores and yelled out, "Jesus Christ!" now, the teacher got him suspended, so i stood up for him. I saed, he is a different religion, so he should be able to say my lords name in vein. and she refused, still. so i have always believed as long as you are not a Christian, you should be able to say the Lords name in vein without being accused of cussing. What are your thoughts?

I have a question, does god exist in your opinion? Post your reasons, your evidence and what religion you stand for.

My opinion on the subject is how can God exist if theres no physical proof he ever existed? The bible doesnt count, because it was written by humans and if so why does the bible differ. between religions.

Secondly, why are there different religions if theres 1 god, supposedly. Each religion proposes no proof that there religion is better than any others that I have heard about.

Third, why do people who are strong "believers" always try to force you and push you to convert to there religion?

Forth, why in the "bible" does it support men only. I mean if he created us, he would have made us more equal in the bible (if it was written by a holy being) Because there is no ultimate proof that was written by one.

I was watchin Pen & Tellers: Bull$hit, and they had a episode on this general topic. And i agree on a most of wat they said, if ya have seen it include too...

I know, I know. An inflamatory question, right? I'm an athiest and it annoys me when christian friends (yeah, some of my best friends are ...) tell me I have no basis for moral values. I think altruism (as well as evil) are intrinsic parts of the human psych, not dependent on beliefs. My athiest friends and I hold the same values of equality and morality as the christians. Ideas?
