Yes. It's a five dollar piece of painted cardboard that you can purchase at your local supermarket. How can it not hold the mysteries of the universe?

My personal experience with one was in Jr. high school. I had one & messed w/it all the time. I kinda fall on the fence on that question. A friend & I were playing w/it one day & just like anyone else who's put there hands on one w/another person, everyone involved things the other is moving it. We asked this girl we were alledgey talking to who had taken her own life if there was any way she could prove this is real. We finally decided a phone call was good enough & she said she could do it but would not be able to talk. We finally put it away & so much time had went by that afternoon that we kinda forgot about it. Well in a very unexpected moment the phone rang, not unusual. I picked up, said hello, & no one was there or at least didn't say anything. That was reason enough for me to let the Ouija board become property of a waste management landfill. (threw it away) . Couldn't help but go into the details so you could know why I felt that way. That is reason enough to believe it works but I can't help but still have susipicions. I wonder who was the maker of it & what were their intentions with the board when they made it. Do you believe?

I don't know if they are successful in talking to *the dead* per se - but they can be successful in contacting entities from the spirit world. The problem is:
1) God will tell us anything we need to know(1).
2) If we aren't hearing, either we don't really need to know, or we have other more important questions that need to be asked and answered before we take up the one we think we want answered(2).
3) The Ouija board is a form of divination, and as such is not sanctioned by God(3).
All of that taken together means that if a Ouija board ever does start working, you should be REALLY WORRIED because it's from the devil.

Not only yes but heck yes. If you do not know what you are doing then you can have ANY spirit come through. A ouija board is a tool for making "gateways" as it were for spirits not only to communicate but to travel through. With that in mind you can have a very negative spirit come through and it can attatch itself to a person present, usually the one who called for a spirit. They are unpredictable and dangerous. They should only be used by those who have had some form of training as a medium, witch or such for several years.
I myself had a bad experience when I was 15. Here is the story and it is the ablsolute truth. I swear it on my Nana's grave and my brothers.
I was having a sleep over at a friends house one night and I brought the ouija board my mom gave me along. At midnight we dicided to see if we can communicate with any spirit present. We contacted a spirit of a boy that was about 8 years old. We asked him how did he die. He said he was hit by the train (she lived next to the train tracks). We stopped and went to bed. The next night when I was home. I woke up screaming in a voice that was about 3 registers lower than my own voice and had a visual of a train hitting me. Needless to say my parents came running into my room. After calming me down it happened again, I was reliving the death of the boy. I was so shook up I had no idea why this was happening. I suddenly had the idea to tell him that he could leave, that I released him. After that it never happened again. I am now 43 and to this day I will not touch a ouija board, in fact I hate them and it infuriates me to no end to see them sold at Toys R' Us as a toy! They are not a game! *sorry it just angers me very badly*. I am also a trained witch so that should say something.
My advice to you is DO NOT TOUCH, MESS WITH OR EXPERIMENT with one. They can and will cause trouble if you do not possess the ability to close the portal that you open. That takes years of training, and tremendous strength of will.

The Holy Bible says," There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a sharmer or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. FOR ALL THAT DO THESE THINGS ARE AN ABOMINATION UNTO THE LORD; and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God." Deutoronomy 18:10-13 You might want to check out Exodus 22:18 also. All you're doing is opening a door for demons to enter your life. And sooner or later, you're gonna call on Jesus to set you free, cause he's the only one who can. JESUS LOVES THE HELL OUT OF YOU!!!

Possibly. I think that messing w/ a quija board not only opens the door to gentle spirits, but can also be an unwelcome invite to spirits nobody would want to have a chit*chat with. Be careful. Theres always hitchhikers or stowaways.

Yes, it can be useful if you use it correctly. I was advised to always bless the board and ask for truthful answers and good spirits only. It's best to use the board with 2 people, that believe...

If you're trying to summons up a spirit to ask a question or two, who's to say what's gonna show up for the party? Kinda like Russian roulette. I wouldn't wanna play.
