I was just reading a question that asked if the great flood killed the dinosaurs. If this was the case, then where is the boat itself. Why can't anyone find the boat. If someone finds the boat, then maybe I will start believing a little more. I can't wait to see some of the answers on this one.

The Bible describes God as good, then narrates his horrible actions. If someone slipped a few pages into about God killing unborn children, would you notice and take issue? Or would you just roll that up with all the other stuff and call it "good."

It usually hides a sly money making scheme.

It wastes a lot of people's time that could be better used elsewhere.

It causes lots of destruction of property.

It tries to get addresses from your contact book to spread itself.

It promotes bigotry and sectarianism

I bought my house for $150,000 and it sold for $450,000. I made a profit of $300,00 which I will roll over into my next home purchase. Would you pay tithing on this? What do you consider eligable for tithing? Say I get a free car to drive and gas from work....should I pay tithing on this increase each month as a benefit from work? Or only on tangible $$$ amounts? I'm confused!

Islamists oppress, terrorize, and slaughter people all over the world, routinely. Apparently the Quran gives them permission and/or commands them to exterminate all non-Muslims and impose a rigid religious tyranny. Any variation from the official religion is punishable by death.
Now, Iran wants the U.N. to make people everywhere stop saying bad things about Islam.
Why do you think Islamic governments are afraid to trust their own citizens with freedom of speech, freedom of religion, women's rights, etc.?
And why are they trying to deny these freeedoms to everyone else in the world?

Because if you really think about it, if they are still here today all the big dino's T-Rex, the Brontosaurus, the raptors and many others could kill us. We have our housing developments and cities but its like the "Godzilla" could come and demolish everything. If they did live today, we couldn't live and develop like we are doing now if we were busy trying to survive and dodge them so they don't eat us! You think God saved our butts and had them destroyed so they dont destroy us?

Some idiot keeps sending me a card from cross daily. Why doesn't this jerk get the hint? To top it off the coward won't even send it to me with their real email. Here's my question why are people cowardly and why won't they get the hint that they are wasting there time? im sick of it being used as an argument. we all know killing is wrong. the question in every abortion argument is "do unborn babies count?" and the phrase "thou shalt not kill" doesn't clear things up at all and the one about him knowing us since before we were in the womb, doesn't that also pertain to sperm and eggs? and if so isn't allowing a period to happen the same as allowing an unborn baby to die?

It seems like most of the Religion and Spirituality questions are designed to troll and tweak differently believing people; very few appear designed to genuinely seek understanding. And to make matters worse, thoughtful answerers rarely seem to be the beneficiaries of the "Best Answer." I've seen so many well-written responses overlooked in favour of "me too" answers. Thoughtful people who take the time to write out long and well-researched answers are soon going to go away if this keeps up.

I don't blame any particular group - the innocent and the guilty seem to belong to every persuasion. Why has this happened, and what can be done to improve the situation?
