The only thing I heard is that we are in the "Final" part of the last days. You will hear that at the convention. When the worldwide ban on religion begins, that will signify the onset of the tribulation.

I'm no Jehovahs Witness but I am a Christian. If by the "Great Tribulation" you mean the end of times, you don't need a society to answer that question. Just look at the freaky weather and the wars and rumors of wars that the Book of Matthew and The book of Revelation spoke about. We are definitely nearing the end of the world.

This question seems designed primarily to insult and demean Jehovah's Witnesses. Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) “Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

Anything can happen: JW's have predicted it so many times and for so many years, they're bound to hit it in some century or other. Hope your deliverance is at hand..if that's what you're really waiting for. It may not be what you expect!
Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu said: “Jesus did not say, ‘If I be lifted up I will draw some. Jesus said, ‘If I be lifted up I will draw all. All, all, all, all. Black, white, yellow, rich, poor, clever, not so clever, beautiful, not so beautiful. It’s one of the most radical things. All, all, all, all, all, all, all, all. All belong. Gay, lesbian, so-called straight. All, all are meant to be held in this incredible embrace that will not let us go. All.”
The radical reality of Jesus’ life, teachings, death and resurrection are meant to show humanity NOT how much God loves religious people, but how much God loves the whole world. While that’s good news for a wretched, sinful world, it’s bad news for religious people who believe that they alone are saved out of a wretched, sinful world.
RIGHT ON, BISHOP! If I were to turn to Jesus, it would be in spite of the work of Jehovahs.

There are multiple instances in the Christian Bible that indicate the endtimes are coming either "within the lifetime of Jesus's listeners" or " within the lifetime of the the New Testament authors";
http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/says_about/end.html
So I think you and most of your church-fellows have missed it.
Or maybe it's just a book full of silly stories, like the other book written at about the same time (though some of the bible is older, some is contemporary with Aesop and some is younger) "Aesops Fables".
