The bible also talked about God's wrath. Be warned! I'm no saint and I believe in God, His mercy, His love and His wrath! He will always be my God! His actions are not horrible, God warns us to guide us.

You're obviously hurting, and I feel your pain, so I'll walk you through this one as best I can.
Suppose an unborn child would grow up suffering, or cause a nuclear holocaust, or would be a horrible sinner and burn in Hell - wouldn't it be better for God to take that child straight to Paradise?
Now, as for the Old Testament, there is a passage, I think it's in Ephesians, which mentions that the Old Testament is "inspired" by God and good for teaching - so it may not be literally true. (That being said there's evidence of great unearthly knowledge about germ theory - Exodus - poop outside the camp and BURY it, and astronomy - describing how the Earth spins off its axis).
We can't see the whole machine of existance. It may not make sense to us, but I was granted a glimpse of a larger piece of it once, and I know that it works.
And bottom line: God is God, it's for Him to decide what's right and wrong. That's something that Job found out the hard way, and he stayed faithful and came out on top.
I don't have ALL the answers, but I could put you in touch with those who do. Write me if you have any more questions.
I got your message Konero, and if you read the paragraph more carefully, you will understand.

God is good but we are now living in a world that is tainted & therefore bad things will happen & noone is exempt from it. In the old days God was a lot closer 2 the people then. They didnt have 2 rely on faith. Yet they deliberately disobeyed God right 2 his face. How can u fault God for being angry & taking out a few of them.God is God. He answers 2 noone. So whoever have a problem with God will very likely feel his wrath too & will be arguing how 'unfair' he is but what will them be able 2 do about it. Get a lawyer? If God wants 2 throw u in a pit of eternal flame 2 burn forever, he will.So finding fault with God is a total no-win situation. It doesnt matter what u think is fair or unfair.About human rights. He created us, he makes the rules & u follow them as best as u can or pay the price. No argument. He holds all the cards & I prefer 2 meekly obey & follow him than 2 join atheists & other God-haters who cant do a thing for me personally but who go about trying 2 criticize God who can.

Good thing there isn't anything evil about KJAs god. She must be a Buddhist.
Besides does this sound like something an evil god would say:
Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. "The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him." (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)
Now what's so evil about that?

The other day, I saw a kid talking back to his father. Got real smart with him. So his dad took him over his knee and spanked him. Is that Evil? No, it's punishment.
Acts of punishment are different than acts of Evil. To say God did an Evil deed is to say he did something with no remorse or care for the concequences that would follow. God doesn't want any of his children to be punished, just like that dad didn't want to punish his child, however, sometimes something needs to be done.
Unfortunately we don't have an infinite wisdom to see what God sees (thank God for that). So in our finite wisdom we only see the current act, not the repocussions (sp?) that will last a life time.

You're funny.
When you read the old testament of the Bible notice that there is no mention of Satan. The separation came after the new testament. Where God is perfection (good all the time) and Satan the opposing force (evil all the time). We as humans have the ability to choose between the two. Hence God doesn't do evil, just allows it by means of our choices.
Cool huh!

The Bible clearly states that anything "evil" comes of the devil. Only things good, come of God. I'm guessing you're referring to specifics, like Sodom and Gomorah (sorry for the spelling, i'm just going from memory). God did in fact kill people, or have people killed, but for the greater good. He has a plan for all of us, he created us, he can get rid of us whenever he wants. If God knows that wiping out a whole city will save all of his followers from falling into destruction, he'll do it. As far as your question about killing unborn children, if anything, that's a blessing for those children. Children that die before or at birth are just spirits that are too good for our world, and God has a better purpose for them.

God is good.
He doesn't lie, when he states something it remains that way, regardless, it is like the law rotating the earth around the sun, or the law of gravity. Those things would always be in existence. All things in life are karmic, (all religion states that). Some people think they can get away with it but what about your generation. We sow seeds that we reap, good or bad seeds.
The goodness of God is what makes it possible for us to have the clause, I mean he pays the price. eg. God did not need to send his son to die for the worlds sin but because he stated his standard that sin = death he had to put all the worlds sins on his son so that his son = sin = death.
That is the real reason Christ has to die. And in Christ is the only time we do not have karmic effect because we are a new creation, we exchange places with him.
When God says don't eat of the tree he wasn't trying to restrict it was for mans benefit cos he saw what the side effect would be. Still out of love (Goodness) he sent out his Son to save us from our own disobedience. Isn't he good? I think he is too good. There is nobody as good as He is.
So when new born babies die, they die for seeds planted from the genealogy lineage sometimes as far back as Adam, but he is merciful. Thank God for Jesus.

You have a preconcieved notion of what and who and how about God that is in error. your ignorence is not that uncommon( look up the definition of ignorence if you are offended. It is not an offencive word if it is understood)
If you are attempting to read a Christian Bible as an unbeliever you will not find what is there for the Believer. If you are an Honest seeker for truth, then you will be led by God to learn from His Word what He wants you to learn. Untill you can come honestly, not as one seeking to stir dissent, you will learn nothing from God's Word.
God dose not cause the evil of this world.

Describe these "terrible" actions. If you take what the Bible says verbatim, then you are no better than the people who try to interpret it. And by the way, God did send the Angel of Death to kill every first born child in Egypt
