I was just reading a question that asked if the great flood killed the dinosaurs. If this was the case, then where is the boat itself. Why can't anyone find the boat. If someone finds the boat, then maybe I will start believing a little more. I can't wait to see some of the answers on this one.

Apparently you can see the Ark on Google Earth on Mount Arrarat.

Personally, I can't see a thing but hey, I'm an atheist....

The Great Flood is part of the Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh. The Hebrews lifted it, filed off the serial numbers and used it to illustrate their contention that their God was a God of power over all of creation and you'd better mind your p's and q's or His wrath would do you in but good.

You can't find a boat because there is no boat to find.

What you can see is the remains of a 12th century Crusader tourist attraction put up by a bunch of monks who weren't into making wine or cheeses.
The monastery is still there, btw. Only they don't do the tourist schtick anymore. Mostly because the little ice age in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries plopped a glacier on their attraction and rendered it invisible.

This is a piece of major conjecture. The image that has been released to the public from military satelites is dated 1949 with a few "prongs". This same feature of the mountain was re-investigated in 1073 which also stirred up the community showing the same "prongs". These "prongs" are thought to be ribs from the ship, if it is a ship.

Point of interest, the mountain has never been successfully expeditioned, due to its military location for Turkey, regarding the ages old tensions of Turkey, Old USSR, Armenia and Iran conflicts.

Lore point of interest, it is said that Charlemagne himself journeyed to the mountain and pulled a piece of "wood" from the same location. Therefore granting his name into respect of all the people he was king of, giving him the idea that he was the human king for God's followers.

oh and by the way, ya' can't see a thing from the google earth satelite image, just a bunch of dark and light contrast.

Ron Wyatt claimed to have found it. But when others investigated, what he was calling the ark was found to simply be a natural formation of local rocks (not petrified wood). The locals quickly jumped on the bandwagon and set up a gift shop nearby.

Ron Wyatt also claimed to have found the ark of the covenant, and the red sea crossing point. He must have been quite an archaeologist. Either that or a really good con man.

There is not enough water on the earth to physically "flood" the planet. For arguments sake, lets just say it was flooded. There would be no land to calm the sea. Noah only had wood to build his ark. A wooden ship would have no chance to survive in a sea that has no land to break up the waves. Especially a wooden ship so large to take 2 of every animal. It's impossible. Even a steel ship wouldn't survive the raging seas of a flooded Earth!

Well think about it, it was made of wood, so maybe it rotted. Just because it was made doesn't mean you are going to find it. And what does the dinosaurs have to so with the Noah. Since Noah took two of everything he would have collected two of all the Dino's. Sorry if i misunderstood you question. The Dino's were before Noah.

God didn't destroyed the dinosaurs in the great flood.
The dinosaurs were already gone.
In my opinion, you will never find the the arc of Noah, because People took it apart to built with it. It is just common sense.
Would you want to cut down a tree to build with, to make fire with.
No, you would use what is quickly available.

Noah's Arc??? Was Noah a welder too?
The dinosuars were wiped out by an impact upon the earth by a meteor the size of Larry King's forehead.

I am not a religious person, the boat in question is Mt Ararat and is broken in two pieces. Look for the expedition of Fernando Navarra and his 8mm film or just go up there. Not much snow so will be clear to you.

Think of the ark as a covenant that was made. There is more than one ark mentioned in the bible.
Use the cross references in the bible and you will find more and more that it is a spiritual book.
For example ; in Numeri 20 Moses spoke to the rock before their eyes. Thereafter the people and their animals drank of that rock, which was Christ.
1 Kor 10 explains it to be spiritual water and food that was taken.
How can physical animals drink spiritual water ?

the boat was made of wood.

think about it. wood rots. if a tree falls it's decomposed and returns to the soil.

and if where it landed is now coverend in a body of water the chances of finding a boat that big that's been sitting there for thousands of year (again, and has probably rotted away) is slim to none
