Not always. I personally don't like a bunch of effusive greeters when I go to a new church/visit. At past churches, this behavior is emphasized, but I have hard time doing it, or doing it sincerely. I'd rather wait until all the others are done, and have a more personal, in depth convo with them. But those that do, could be some of best too, some people are just naturally ebullient and want to be first to say 'hi'. Hope this helps.
