If kids take after their parents, mostly physically, but alot of times charactorially also, such as creativity, and it almost seems that everything that people have created has somehow taken on the trait of creativity (ex. manufacturing plants, etc.), then where do we get it from? What makes man so creative? Rocks and electrically charge soup never purposely created anything [so says natural (or radom) selection] So where do we get it from?

P.S. If your answer involves the placement of an organ in the brain, or traits being passed from our ancestors, or something void like that please explain how it originated or how it was placed there.

They will tell everyone they meet that they can't wait for it so they can go to heaven to meet their lord, but when faced with certain death, will fight to stay alive. In my opinion, these people are the biggest bunch of hypocrits on the planet.( I did not say all christians, so relax.)

Why in all the messianic scriptures in the Old Testament (Torah) not mention it. Nowhere does it say when the messiah come you have to believe in him. On the contrary the prophesies make it clear that when he does come there will be no doubt. Christian response to those scriptures is he will do it in the second coming (also not mentioned in scripture)

The first time I ever stepped foot in a church I was about 4 or five. I can remember the preacher saying if you don't believe in god you are going to hell. Now for a five year old I didn't know exactly what that meant So it was explained to me. I am older know but part of me thinks I was made to believe in god at a young age. What is the point of forcing your beliefs on someone , I just don't get it. And wouldn't you consider certain churches cults for doing that?

Is my 'belief' (!) in evolution due to my own independent thought using logic and reasoning after examining the available evidence or is it due to Satan's powers?

God
-----
Bible or Qu'ran
philosophical arguement that a tornado can't go through a junkyard and build an airplane, and so by looking at a tree we must infer that the tree had a creator . . God

Evolution
-----------
DNA comparrissons with other living animals, such as the fact that we share 98% of our DNA with the chimpanzee,

Fossil record showing differences over time

Counter to these

Counter to God: Bible written by man, Qu'ran written by man, the thing with the plane is like a 3 year old riddle it requires no counter it is SOTTISH

Counter to evolution: We share a percentage of our DNA with a pig, does that mean we evolved from a pig?
Counter to this counter: Will we probably do have a common ancestor with a pig 80 million years ago, so yes thats LOGICAL.

Counter to the fossil: It's fake, see dr dino
Counter to the counter: CARBON DATING ANALYSIS reveals forgeries.

Does this sum up where we are in our yahoo answers conversation about God?

The book of James(New testament) is propably the best book that describes the path a true christian should follow. I have noticed that James do not mention anything about "having to believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins". Instead he teaches to uphold the law and follow the path that Jesus taught.

Then there is Paul's letters, these letters, over and over, try to emphasise the importance of us "having to believe that Jesus died for us". I never saw that he actualy encouraged to follwing the teachings of Jesus.

My Question: Why is it that so much Faith is put in Paul when he never knew Jesus? In Acts, everything Paul came to know about Jesus came from the Apostles. Yet Paul's letters, which tells the same thing, over and over, takes up the majority of the New Testament.

I do believe in God but I just dont like the fact that if I don't follow the certain "rules", I'm going to hell. I know there's more to it, I do study the bible. I feel comfortable with the decisions I make, even if it's breaking one of the ten commandments. I know where I'm going in life and how to get there. I have strong morals and values at such a young age. I smoke marijuana cuz it relaxes me. Why Not? I'm not hurting anyone else, not even myslef. I feel that everyone should take advantage of their lives seeing that we only get one. LIVE PEOPLE!!! So I ask, Am I Right/Wrong for my way of thinking?
