JUST A FEW QUICK QUESTIONS FOR THE CHRISTIANS? I LIVE IN AUSTRALIA AM 45 YEARS OLD AND HAVE STUDIED THE BIBLE FOR QUITE A NUMBER OF YEARS, WHY DOES IT REFER THE THE EARTH AS BEING THE CENTRE OF GODS UNIVERESE? THAT THE SUN THE MOON THE STARS AND ALL THE PLANETS REVOLVE AROUND IT? WHY DOES IT ALSO SAY THAT THE WORLD IS FLAT? WHY DOES IT SAY THAT THE STARS ARE ACCTUALLY GODS ANGLES LOOKING DOWN UPON US? WHY DOES IT SAY THAT 1 MAN GATHERED UP 2 OF EACH ANIMAL AND PUT THEM ON AN ARK? THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN OVER 2000 YEARS AGO, MY COUNTRY WAS DISCOVERED LESS THAN 200 YEARS AGO? ALL OF MY ANIMALS ARE NATIVE AND NOT FOUND ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD! HOW IS THIS? IN 200 YEARS WE HAVE STILL NOT FOUND EVERY KNOW LIVING TYPE OF CREATURE IN THIS COUNTRY? HOW DID NOAH GET THEM? MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN AT A TIME WHEN NO OTHER CONTINENTS WERE KNOWN OF! IN 1798 CHRISTOPHER COLLUMBUS WAS TOLD THAT HE WOULD SAIL OF THE EDGE OF THE EARTH AND WAS CLASSED AS EVIL FOR STATING ROUND EARTH!!

Our purpose of this LIFE……..who agrees with me?

Our purpose of this life is to recognize the creator, to be grateful to the creator, to worship the creator, to surrender ourselves to the creator and to obey the laws that He decided for us.
In a nutshell it means worship. This is our purpose on this life. And whatever we do in the course of that worship, that system, the eating, the drinking, the dressing, the working; all of these are just consequential but we have been created to worship.
That’s the purpose of our life. I don’t think that anyone who is scientific or analytical, they won’t have much argument with that purpose. They may have some other purpose within themselves. But that’s something they have to deal with between themselves and all mighty God.

I believe God has promised to do miracles for all of us who have faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus went around and healed many people in response to their faith -- he even said that anyone with faith the size of a mustard seed could move a mountain. But do you believe that God also does miracles for non-Christians? Jews? Muslims? Hindus? etc...

Answers, especially those with Biblical support, would be appreciated.

Medical treatment

Many Christians admire Jesus for his healing powers yet few would go to a medical doctor today who used the diagnoses and treatment that he used.

Jesus believed that demon or Satan possession caused deaf-and-dumbness (see Matthew 9:32-33; 12:22; Mark 9:17-29, Luke 11:14).

A spirit of infirmity, according to Jesus, resulted from a bind from Satan.

He supposedly restored sight by spitting on the eyes of a blind man (Mark 8:23) or anointing them with clay made with spittle (John 9:6) or by telling them to have faith.

Note that Jesus failed to impart the scientific knowledge of germs or establish methods of preventing disease.

Although some Christian Scientists practice the methods of Jesus, the results have proved abysmal. If Jesus could cure disease and blindness, he failed to instruct men how to avoid these diseases.
Some Christians, in trying to extricate themselves from this difficult problem, claim that Jesus did not give us the medical knowledge

The bible says

The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

I ask this question because most people on this planet would say they are part of some religion whether they practice it or just believe. And none of them get the point that religion has always and will always mean death of human life not to mention the millions of innocent animals and insects that get killed too.
