The sky gods of polytheistic religions. Yahweh was originally a sky god for the Hebrews. The sky gods are generally male; that is why the Christian god is male.

It hard for mankind to grasp the idea that God had no beginning. But for the sake of evaluation, IF God had a beginning, although He did NOT, you would have to ask...Who made God?, if there were an answer, you would ask again, who made that God?, and keep asking until you came to a point where there was a God who had no beginning.

Why? You cannot create something from nothing. Since creation, or the material world exist, that alone is proof that someone *always* existed.

Romans 1:20 'For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and God-ship, so that they are inexcusable.'.

Since he never had a beginning , God calls himself 'Ancient'. That is probably the best human adjective that we have to understand his age; Daniel 7:9.

Evolution is not real! I mean how could we be evolved from monkeys? If all the monkeys turned into humans, wouldn't the mokeys be gone? Yes, they would! God did not evolve from anything he is the Holy Ghost! If you were a real Christian you would know that! Evolution is just something scientists made up to make people be away from God! Scientists always try to prove God wrong! Well they can't! Some scientists are good like Albert Einstein. I think I spelled his last name wrong. Anyways! He was a Christian man. That doesn't have anything to do with your question. Well, deal with it, evolution is not real! It's fake! Get it through your head!

Exodus 3:14 - And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you."

Whatever God says is true! He is who he is! God is right! Did God say, "I evolved from the Mighty Ape!" No, he did not. God will be here and he always will be here!

Evolution is a strictly biological term, something must be physically alive to evolve. That is like asking what do you think heat or sound evolved from. God either exist or doesn't.

god isnt a physical deity and isnt created its a life force energy that has always been there and in all of us. christians and muslims think that god is a physical being who can kill you at will for not following or believing in him but i am a spiritualist myself and i see that god is in all things and in all people so if god evolved he evolved from us to other things as life on earth grew. the faithful dont see it this way and i am one of the most loving and kind person i can be and i am not a christian thank you..

God didn't evolve. God always was and always will be.

I don't fully understand it. Eternity isn't something easily graspable by the human mind. That's what faith is about: Believing in something that you don't fully understand.

Think of it like a circle: No begining, no end.

god evolved from man's greed for control.
some small smart guy wanted to control the weaker masses, and he knew that if he just threatened them with himself they wouldn't be too scared cause he was little and weak. instead he thought up a god that was big and powerful and who the people could only talk to through him. this gave him lots of power and control and he was able to rule the people, this small but very intelligent and greedy man.

Don't insult my God by putting the word evolve in the same sentence. God has always been there, and always will be.

God never 'evolved' from anything. God has been always there. God is complete and perfect.
