No no no no no no... I think we are all part of an experiment gone wrong !!! You know, abandoned by whoever started it. We are like a culture dish allowed to .... germinate, or.. multiply, develop the bad way, out of control.... otherwise how can we explain what we do everyday on this planet... we kill our own fellow human beings for pleasure... for profit.... for petrol... we torture and abuse OUR OWN children... Or perhaps the experimenter?) ran away in horror... long ago !!! We will never be visited by other intelligent beings from other galaxies... they will never find intellectual stimulation on this beautiful planet.. so they do a sort of tangent instead and move on...

There used to be a TV advert that was based round that principle. It showed people doing daft things then kept moving out until you saw these big green blobs controlling the game.
I don't think life in reality is like that, its too complicated and diverse just to be a big game board. There are no hard and fast rules (and games always have rules) there are too many mistakes made and we do have free will, which makes it harder for other entities to control what we do.
We control our own lives, its a kind of 'get out of jail' idea to believe someone else is making us do crazy things, we are the only ones responsible

Yup, many times, but never quite as vividly as the time I left the cinema after seeing The Truman Show. But seriously, what difference would it make? Would you live your life differently?
(1) Do good, be happy.
(2) We all depend on each other
(3) We all depend on the world around us.
Nothing else matters.

Yes, all the time. And so did the Greeks. Kinda scary thought, really. You should read "Ye Gods!" By Tom Holt. It's based on that theory, and it's really funny as well.

No, I have never thought about that. Because I believe I am in charge of my own life. I don't believe in fate or destiny, as that would mean my whole life has been preordained, and I don't believe in that

That is honestly the dumbest thing that I have ever heard. How can you look at life and see that. Open your eyes and heart God is everywhere.
