Just a question, someone said the wind is not intelligent but with an infinite number of tornadoes I would think it would be possible. I also think it possible that there would be a bunch of cheerlea. . . o wait religion and spiritiuality, not singles and dating.

Cos, you have to admit it, it's a pretty compelling piece of logical philosphy, isn't it? And what about Amanda & Eve?! Case closed!

do you realize how many 'christian' ansers i've seen that i could not believe?? there are soo many ateist questions in here and you answere them as if the person writting them is nothing. just by reading the answeres of 'christians' i can see why they think we are a hate religion. with comments such as 'you are going to hell' please try to not give christians a bad rap. at least i am serious about being a christian.

If you want to try and prove your religion to a non-Christian it seems rather silly to quote The Bible.

Hi
My Name is Yan and I am trying to create new religion “Yanizm”
The main dogma of my new religion is that there is GOD but what it is – it does not matter. God loves us all and he does not care for our primitive sins.
The main idea of new religion is that there will be no dominations or subdivisions.
People won’t have to choose where to go and how to pray. They can do it anytime at their own comfort. They don’t have to decide if I choose one denomination over another what if I am wrong and will end up in hell. We will show the easy way for the salvation
Any one can believe what ever the **** they want and not to be afraid that they are wrong. They can worship any object or anything they pleased to do. (Ex. Computer, yahoo, Google, internet.. etc.)WE will have several commandments and we have to decide what they are.
It’s up to us to make a new dogma and find the new ways to control the people.

Please read the first post for more information and help me shape the Religion.

I like "as a dog returning to its vomit is a fool doing some stupid thing a second time" (proverbs). There are some less cynical bits which are also cool. And yes I'm an atheist.

But I do not know the best one out there.
At the moment I have the Ryrie-study bible- New American Standard(Moody) I need the larger print,(because of my vision) .
any suggestions?
when I replaced my bible; what is the proper way of disposing of it?
I would not want to throw it in the trash can.
thanks ,

When I read the biography of prophet Muhammed I found a very strange story that tells that prophet Muhammed tortured a Jew man (his name was Kinana Ibn Al Rabie'e) to tell the muslims about a treasure he was hiding. When the man refused to tell the muslims about the location of the treasure, prophet Muhammed gave him to one of Muslim warriors and he beheaded him!

The funny thing is that prophet Muhammed enslaved the widow of that man he just killed and proposed her marriage and promised her that he would free her from slavery if she marry him!

Within one day from the killing of the ex-husband, prophet Muhammed married the woman (her name was Safeya Bint Hayie) and she submitted Islam!

I am just asking how could a prophet marry the widow of a man he tortured and killed? and how come he did not give her any time for grieve?

Let's say you die, and you don't disappear. You end up face to face with the creator, God if you wish. Let's say He's everything the Bible promises. How would you like that? I have some issues with God's actions in the old testament, but I would give him a chance to explain himself.

Are the theists going to be suppressed by the government, is there going to be a big last holy war or is theism just going to die off as everyone becomes atheist? Personally I think option 3 everyone is becoming atheist now so theism is just going to die off that way.

This seems to instill an intrinsic inferiority complex in the human psyche.

Where in the Bible does it say to take the world by force and make everyone believe what you believe? I seemed to have missed that line in Bible school. I do seem to remember something about many would be decieved by the antichrist. Also something about lilies of the field not fretting about what they are to wear, which to me seems like all one has to do is trust God and do the next right thing. Nowhere did I see anything about trusting man or the world. But since the Republican party has decided to wear their religion on their sleeve, "the Word" has become the words of whoever is in power (ie: man) and is touted as the word of God. Who ordained those people as spokespersons for God? Are we not still waitng for the return of the Christ? Or did you get tired of waiting?
