Where in the Bible does it say to take the world by force and make everyone believe what you believe? I seemed to have missed that line in Bible school. I do seem to remember something about many would be decieved by the antichrist. Also something about lilies of the field not fretting about what they are to wear, which to me seems like all one has to do is trust God and do the next right thing. Nowhere did I see anything about trusting man or the world. But since the Republican party has decided to wear their religion on their sleeve, "the Word" has become the words of whoever is in power (ie: man) and is touted as the word of God. Who ordained those people as spokespersons for God? Are we not still waitng for the return of the Christ? Or did you get tired of waiting?

It is human nature to fight, sad to say. Jesus did say that it was harder to enter God's kingdom that it is to get a camel through the eye of the needle. It is so simple really, but people just don't want to believe it. Many people use their so called 'religion' as an excuse for there wars that are really all about hate and greed which goes agains any religion. Most people that claim to be Christian (or Catholic, or Muslim, or Jewish) are just saying that without knowing the true nature of the religion they are claiming. The sad truth is, that the majority of humanity does not want to believe in God or salvation. They want to do it on their own. They also do not wish to think that there are consequences for their actions. By eliminating God and/or Hell, they are free to do what they wish without consequences (or so they think). In this case, the truth really DOES hurt. This is why Jesus wept.

Ever heard of toughlove???
Most so called christians today are so weak that if they were lemons, you couldn't get enough juice for a good glass of lemonade.
Christians have been given a mission, " to go into all the world and preach the gospel" Where are you preaching?? Are you on the streets, in the mall, at the hospital, do you have a bible study in your home, do you go house to house inviting people to come to christ before it is too late??

Yes, I am still waiting for Christ. In the book of Romans, chapter 13, it talks about submiting to your leaders. In the Message Remix ( a cool version of the Bible), it states that all goverments are under God. We do turn the cheek and love others. If you dont belive me, meet a Baptist some day. Youll know that youare loved.

Christians have learned. Have you? The bible does not say to make others believe but to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and be the Light of the World.

True Christians should not take the world by force (1 John 4:8 "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.").

You're correct in you accusation. But this type of behavior is not monopolized by Christians. Athiests, agnostics and Muslims are just as guilty.

As for the answer to your question, Christians will learn to "turn the other cheek and love others as Jesus loves them" as they grow closer and closer to Jesus. They will be transformed into the likeness of Him and will reflect the same attitudes as the One that they love.

We were warned about this type of leaven...

Mar 8:15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

(Joh 12:42) Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
(Joh 12:43) For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

(Mat 15:7) Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
(Mat 15:8) This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
(Mat 15:9) But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Some "so called" preachers of the Word have said that it is our DUTY as Christians to be politically active....but in the Bible we are told that you can not serve two masters (God and the world or God and wealth). We are also told not to entangle ourselves in the affairs of this world. The Harlot's daughters have grown very bold, these days.

Luk 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

2Pe 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

(2Ti 2:3) Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
(2Ti 2:4) No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
